But I reaaaally liked how the text looked with that cyrillic font (patterns don't seem to work on custom fonts)

Thanks for the link. I think I'm explaining things poorly lol.
I’ve noticed that some text (such as choice options and a few dialogue lines) is stored directly in the scripts (dd.say etc.).
The issue is that the Decker script editor uses its default font, which doesn’t support Cyrillic, so Russian characters appear as squares. Unlike the text fields, I can’t change the font there.
I'm really trying to figure it out because it seems very interesting to me and I'm a very stubborn person.
I'm starting to wonder if this might simply be a limitation of Decker.
I have a question about editing the text in Decker.
I managed to edit the UI text, but I can't figure out how to edit the rest of the text properly. I can see the text content in Visual Studio Code, but some Cyrillic characters need to be entered manually using Alt keys, so editing it directly there is difficult. It's a font, so it won't appear if I edit within the code.
When I try to select the text inside Decker, only the window/frame gets highlighted, and the actual text elements don't seem to be accessible.
I need access to the text in order to work with fonts and make sure Cyrillic characters display correctly. Could you please tell me the correct way to edit the text or where the source text should be modified in Decker? Is it even possible?
Thank you!

Hi!
I'm helping localize a Decker project into Russian, and I've run into an issue with Cyrillic characters. So the original deck works fine, but when I replace the English text with Russian using Visual Studio Code, the Cyrillic characters appear as question marks. I also tested editing the text directly inside Decker, and the result is the same.
Is Cyrillic currently supported in Decker? If not, is there a recommended way to localize Decker projects into languages that use Cyrillic?
BTW, I'm not a developer.I'm just trying to figure out how to translate Decker projects. This is my first time working with Decker, so I might be missing something obvious.
Thank you!
Hello! I’ve been looking for a Russian mod for your game but couldn’t find one. Is there one available, or was it abandoned?
If a Russian version isn’t currently being worked on, I’d be happy to create one. I can work with script files if you’re able to provide them.
And if someone already works on translation, I’d be happy to support it as a proofreader or editor.

Hi~
I'm Solanin, an English–Russian translator, editor, game enthusiast, and cinema student.
I have a strong background in subtitling and working on student projects, and I’m currently studying narrative game design and scriptwriting. Right now, I’m focused on building my portfolio and, honestly, translating purely out of enthusiasm. I want to help my Russian-speaking community enjoy games the same way I do.
Maybe one day I’ll create my own visual novel? Who knows. For now, I’m exploring the field and enjoying the process. I prefer working with cozy indie games and visual novels. LOOKING FOR HORROR PROJECTS AS WELL!!!
If you're looking for an EN–RU translator, I’d be glad to help!!
I promise to provide an accurate and flawless translation (cause I won’t be able to sleep peacefully knowing I made a lot of mistakes). Trust me on that.
