Hi everyone.
I’ve been building a 2D multiplayer sandbox called LumaWorlds. It's heavily inspired by games like Growtopia and Pixel Worlds, and I’m trying to sanity-check whether the core economy and social systems actually hold up when real players start picking them apart.
The gameplay loop isn't about solitary survival. Everything is anchored around a completely player-driven economy and community-built worlds.
So the gameplay is less about typical sandbox survival and more about:
- Creation: Designing your own persistent custom worlds, whether that's a brutal parkour course, a scenic hangout spot, or a dedicated item shop.
- Economy & Crafting: Gathering resources to splice a massive array of items (like stylish clothing and rare blocks) and figuring out their true market value through social trading.
- Co-op: Teaming up to tackle special challenge worlds for unique rewards.
We just pushed our 1.0.2 update which adds a Friends system and a Medieval pack, so the persistent worlds are expanding. It's completely free and plays right in your browser (or via Windows/Linux downloads).
If you enjoy picking apart player-driven economies, social sandbox games, or just want to build a cool map with friends, I’d really value your thoughts:

Appreciate anyone who gives it a go! And any feedback you may have.
