Probably not expecting a response, but if the game_id =1555897  (Across the Board), and the data_upload keys are:

7876014 (Windows 0.4)

Then what is the Upload_ID for Season3?

 14953891 (Windows 0.16)

Doesn't seem to be a valid Key as far as the Itch App is concerned, doing a quick asset flip in my .itch recept.json file suggests this ends in a dead link. Also S1 & S2 are exactly seven digits long, and work, as expected.  (Be it official Windows, or the out of date Flatpak version on my Steamdeck. Which promptly sheets itself, when I dare click a DL Link in it.

oddly if I'm inclined to have two copies of Season 2 (and somehow keeptrack of which is really which, I can actual launch into S3 from the Itch App.

This may seem shady, and i wouldn't know. I did try using a blank recipt.json file. hoping it would just update itself, that netted me a nice  bit of you need to buy this DRM. Which would be hilarious  were the Game not already DRM-less for being strictly a direct download from the Browser ONLY!

Any Help in correcting this would be most appreciated.

I wasn't attempting to answer anything. You mentioned something about a 'Step 4' with out explaining which 'Step 4' you were thinking of.

In any case I plan on altering the receipt.(json) File*, and alter it to match up with (UnnamedGame v16), that may be c***blocked due to the stupid Payment Provider Drama of '25. Apparently that would work but it would be like hammering out a copy of it.

Thankfully this is the Third Chapter of said Game, so I have versions 7,  and 14** to compare my work.

Which Step 4? The GameID, or recompressing a gzip File? Because the latter seems straight forward enough if you've spent a hot minute outside of Windows. Even then, isn't 7zip a thing?

The App needs a Code change. The Code Change, can be found at the GitHubs Issues Page. The question is when will this Patch get folded into the next version, and when will that next version get folded down into the next Flatpak version.

Apparently this Bug, doesn't seem to mind being on Linux, or Windows. Thankfully the Fix, isn't difficult if you know how to read, and know a little CTRL+C & CTRL+V. 

In short: Goto: 26.1.9/resources/app/dist/main

Locate the File "main.bundle.js" open that in your Text Editor of choice. Find like 13563 (Using Return to create a new line, and add:

Electron__WEBPACK_IMPORTED_MODULE_6__.app.userAgentFallback = (0,/* .userAgent */ .W)(); 

Then save it, and exit.

Well the only Fix, that seems to work for me, was to download the Windows Installer, add that to Steam, and set GE-Proton to v9.16, painstakingly set the correct install path z:/home/deck/.itch, and finish the install

Find the actual installed executable, and add that to Steam, and set it again with Proton 9.16, thennclean up the old installers off SteamOS.

Read the GitHub Cloudflare fix, in the Issues thread, (Google it!), set the correct line of code, and save it.

Then it should work, Again.

Oh yes BTW it would be nicer to use the native Linux version. Alas for whatever reason once you manage to apply the aforementioned fix. It breaks the App from executing inside SteamOS. Oddly enough it works fine under Desktop Mode. But Desktop Mode sucks. 

The most direct way (On the StramDeck), is to install the Flatpak off the Discover Store. Two things make that impractical though.

1) It's not supported, by Itch or it's creator anymore apparently.

2) You can't patch it as simply as a direct install beit Linux, or Windows. As any patches, are at App level. And not for flatpaks.

Probably because if your like me, your using somebody elses Flatpak install. It might have escaped you, but Itch isn't responsible for that. Hence the lack of a response.

Now, they do have an official Linux installer. (Ask me how I know?), and that too is just as broken (i.e. Cloudflare looping),. 

There is a way to fix that apparently, if you can possess minor reading comprehension. The good news is it will fix the problems. The bad news, is it seems to break something inside SteamOS. The App will work as expect, with no CF Errors inside the Desktop, just not inside SteamOS. The App just never starts, it will eventually time out, after 2 minutes, and crash back to the launch screen.

My fix was to install my the Windows version under Proton, apply the same fix, and this works fine under SteamOS, and the Desktop.

Not ideal, but it works. But, it's in line with a my experience with the SteamDeck, for some unexplained reason it seems to hate native Linux Apps, and refuses to run them. Beit Games, or Apps.

I bought this Game about Two Years ago, (Chapters 1, and 2), these are in my itch App as downloadable Files there (Linux version).

I just picked up Chapter 3, last night, still kinda bummed I had to drop another 6.00€ + VAT on that.... Fine, it's a decent story, and it's ok.

What's NOT ok is the fact that Chapter 3 is not appearing in the itch App as a managed Download. With a way to show it as installed, or with any ability to apply any Updates, assuming there were, or would be any.

How would I be able to fix this? Or can this even be fixed? Seems like this may have something to do with or dear friend Censorship. To wit isn't that a bit late, after Money has already changed hands?

Is there any way you could look into this?

Using SteamOS (Arch Linux), w/Native (or as near native) App, from the "App Store" nothing works since that Cloudflair outrage. 

One has to wonder is this Censorship at work. With seemingly verified reports of VPNs being able to break though...

Have you published this on GoG yet? There seems to be plenty of Itchy Games over there, so you'd wouldn't be lonely. And unlike here, or Steam they seemed to have weathered the Storm, so far. Also Steam bans the sale of these Games, in Germany so unless your gonna pull a Kagura Games style system sell a wholesome Game on Steam, and leave your Customers to download the Crunchy bits offsite. Your not going to be selling too many copies in Germany. 

Again thankfully GoG doesn't seem to be suffering as badly here.

Seems like (For the moment), free stuff is back, but the paid content is still out of order. So with everything given, this is a pretty smart move. It will definitely put more eyes on this game, and that's no bad thing, as that was what Itch was designed to do..

I suspect like others, that once payment options get  figured out, this Window of opportunity will close, and the next update will be time-locked like it always was.

Is this even on Steam? If so, is it still on Steam? (As a German, I honestly wouldn't know.)

Might One instead suggest GoG Keys? At least I can get muh Gooner fix there, unlike Steam

What's the point of Steam, when Steam Banned this Game, in Germany, as per usual. Please consider other Outlets like GoG. Which thankfully, at least for the moment haven't gotten noticed by the wandering eye, of Sauron yet.

Were it that easy, I'd have done that. Perhaps I was unclear, if so I apologize. But the Rant wasn't about playing on the Steam Deck, as it was about Valve's (German) policy of outright censorship on these types of Games. 

I don't know if this Game could be made available on GoG, or not, but unlike Steam at least those kinds of Games are neither hidden behind seven proxies, or just got simply flagged as being unavailable in my region.

As such that's was where I was coming from. As a noobish Deck luser I've become most adept at using non-steam Games via the Desktop Mode. Again given the commercial aspect of the product, and the fact that I'm not allowed (by my host countries insistence) to obtain it legally via the prescribed channel. Yeah that's my issue.

The problem here (i.e. itch.io), stuff is almost always a WIP. So most updates probably land about every six months or so, sometimes a bit quicker, often times also slower than that. 

Mores the pity I want eventually play this on a Steam Deck, likely replacing SteamOS with Win11 24h2 'cause Steam Germany wont sell AVNs anymore.

Are these Charactes (as such), a part of some SDK? A kind of AVN Maker? Kinda difficult not to see the relationship between Skyler (Ripples), and Kaylee (Projekt Passion). Not that I'm having an issue with it. just legit wondering.

Dude this isn't Jast, and most of the stuff here is largely free.  Op, and the others like him/her, work on this stuff in their free time. honestly if these Games get an update... Roughly every Six Months or so, we should be thankful. but, its the rare Game on here thats listed as complete. (Looking at you V.i.r.t.u.e.s), but, hell even that Game still has to many loose threads. but, the main arc (as such), has reached a conclusion of sorts. As such it was listed as complete by its Author. AFAIK its likely the only excption.

Just play another Game, and check, back again after Easter, I suspect there might be some news about Ep 8 by then. But, no its not coming "soon"...

I recently purchased S2 back when it was on Christmas sale. I 'm just wondering is S1 included (as in "New Game", or is it a hard continuation on S1, and therefore requires me to have played though S1 first?

To add a touch of clarity here. "Interrogate EVERYONE!" Implies that you need to speak to Morganna again as well. That might be the one thread that your missing. 

Why not try setting your Room up with the Halloween stuff, then visit the Dungeon in the Evening. That should unlock at least one of those pics.

But, in whatever future update rolls along,  will there be a way to heal, or at least make Chole more stable? Stable than she currently is now? Or is she a literally wildcard / hot potato who would either help, or turn the knife in on our MC when the Splunkiee hits the proverbial? 

Have to admit I had a heck of a time with that arc as well. Without giving to much away there are two people you need to talk to who's stories don't quite match up to. Also you need to go back to Morganna (sp.?), and get her to open another room for you to get more info, on to how to complete it.

If you must there are walkthroughs on Google that would make the hints more plain. But, I think that should be enough info.

If your on Chrome, you might have more luck running the Android .APK then the one for Linux. That said installing the new version should just overwrite the older installed one.
