We're super glad to hear that you enjoyed the gameplay and art so much :) We totally agree that having some music and sfx will lift it to the next level and we're actively working on both of those for a post review update, so keep your eyes peeled for that :)

Thanks so much for trying out the game and we're glad you enjoyed it :) We appreciate the feedback on the special attack and agree that it needs further revision. At the moment we're leaning towards having it not require a charge up to allow it to be more useful in tight situations as the enemies ramp up. This coupled with some SFX for it should give it a much more impactful feel in game.

Thanks so much for playing and glad you enjoyed it :) Unfortunately it's not intensional to have them stop spawning and I'm currently investigating the root cause for that bug. It seems to be occurring at slightly different points for different players so thanks for your feedback on when it occurred for you.

Great suggestion on targetting tablets actually, I hadn't really considered that for the jam. I haven't specifically set up touch controls but that should be an easy addition once the upload lock lifts :)

Thanks so much for playing, really appreciate the deep review.

Noted regarding the special attack speed, we will improve its expanding speed for our next build. Regarding the spawning not working that its definitely not intended and is very frustrating that we didn't spot this bug before submitting :( We will investigate this and resolve it for our post review build. Do you feel the difficult needs to be increased more rapidly in the early phase of the game?

Glad to hear you had fun playing :)

Yes we agree regarding the sound effects, it would really sell the impacts hitting the enemies much better. Unfortunately time just got the best of us this time around

Thanks so much for playing and we're really glad to hear you enjoyed the game :)

We had actually built a tutorial that walks through the game mechanics, including the special attack, but unfortunately missed the deadline for that build by a few minutes which is a shame.

Once the energy bar is filled it will flash green to signal you can use your special attack. To use it you need to hold down right mouse button for a few seconds, you'll see a large circle growing from within your void, and anything inside the circle will get absorbed when you release. You can risk holding it longer which will absorb pretty much everything on screen if you can risk losing some health during the charge up.

Nice take on the theme! The controls would benefit from better feedback in the movement, e.g. an increase in velocity/distance covered, and the ball should move towards the hole more consistently. Background music would be nice. Great start though.

Beautiful artwork and really clever theme interpretation. The music was very nice also. Interesting core mechanic too :)

You nailed the style, its very polished, and the music was great. Core gameplay loop was very satisfying, great work :)

Really enjoyed this, it has a very satisfying core loop. Could totally see this expanded upon, for example multiple payload rockets. Would be very cool if you could also pull the asteroids at the top of the map down and use as projectiles.

Really good take on the theme, could see this being great if expanded even further into a full game. Loved the artwork and music, really set an interesting mood.

Oh, that's not ideal, I'm not sure what would be causing those visual bugs. Thank you for raising that though, i'll investigate these and try to fix.

Solid visuals, love the fog effect, it looks great. With some additional expansion of the idea to make it a bit less fiddly with all the small objects needing clicked. Great work.

Done as you asked, check it out :)

Really lovely artwork and the music suits it very well. Loved the core gameplay loop, very satisfying, and the upgrades feel good. Excellent work all round, could see this being great if expanded upon :)

Great concept and really nice artwork. Music is perfect for the chaos unfolding around you. I found the controls very fiddly however, was difficult to know where i was aiming.

Hmm, no certainly not intended, I hadn't spotted this bug myself. Thanks for flagging that up :) There was more content planned but I had to descope to get the submission done as I was working alone and behind schedule. Once the rating is finished i'll fix that bug and add in the additional traps/do some further balancing. From feedback I've gotten, there's some strategies that seem too easy to execute, so I think the difficulty needs ramped up a bit.

Awesome idea, nicely executed, and a great wee puzzle. I love the fact its pulling in other actual submissions too, such a nice touch to an already great idea.

This is amazing, such a smart take on the theme. Love the style of it, awesome work :)

Really nailed the graphics and sound effects on this, loved it. Very satisfying core loop also

Wow such a great submission. The artwork is just gorgeous, sound effects are on points, and the game mechanics surprisingly addictive. Awesome job :)

Good start to an idea here. I agree with the other comments that the background takes over the focus a bit too much. With some further refinement and balancing it could be a great game.

Nice interpretation of the theme. The visuals are lovely, really liked those, especially the track wear as the cars turn, awesome little detail. Only thing I would say is it wasn't fully clear to me i shouldn't be clicking on the ability to use it at first, was confused that it was already selected and I had to just aim it.

lmfao at, this was a funny twist. Loved the anti pigeon stealth mechanics

Loved the 2d/3d combo, very fun. Could totally see further improvements with the different enemy types having various behaviours/abilities. Loved the music track too, really sets the tone well

Total nightmare fuel, I love it haha

I like the concept, was satisfying killing the ships, however I would love to see it sped up a bit more. Having the camera zoom out as you gain that speed would help sell the feeling of being an asteroid hurtling through space a bit more i think. Overall good entry :)

Loved the visual style, good UI overall too. Only thing I wish it had was some music/sound feedback to go along with it. Good job

Loved the visual style so cool. Great idea for a reversal, very funnyidea!

thanks so much for trying out the game, glad you enjoyed playing it 😊

thanks so much for your review, glad you enjoyed the game 😊 the idea for the rollers was to allow you to chain lots of spikes together as a build option. Originally there was going to be a trap that increased damage with velocity but I had to cut it due to time constraints sadly
