I played through most of this game after the stream last night. I did wind up skipping levels 21 and 25, but really enjoyed it. This was the first I've heard of Conway's Game of Life, but from what I can tell, you've done a great job at gamifying the concept.  Like all great puzzle games, it made me feel like both a genius and an idiot at times and I loved it. I could easily see this benefiting from the mobility of phones and tablets as well. It would be a great on-the-go game.

Thanks for the feedback. We probably made the game a bit too difficult to start but, the whole thing can be beaten in less than a minute and we wanted to convey that "out of control" and urgent feeling. We spent a lot of time getting the fire propagation to work with very minimal impact on the game's performance which is why there aren't as many features as we would have liked. In retrospect, had we had more time and been able to work the full two days, we would have added some easier levels and made the existing one an optional challenge at the end, but we literally got this game submiutted just in time. We submitted our "safety" version at 30 minutes remaining and were making refinements up until submission time.

As for the window being stuck at the top left, that is the first I've heard of it. I think we will continue with this concept so if you could send along a screenshot, we would appreciate it. Thanks again for playing and providing feedback. It really is useful.

You're probably right. It's very easy to forget that the learning curve is steeper when you aren't the one that made the game.  We'll have to keep that in mind for next time. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! We actually have the ability to restart using the Esc key, but I could see how that could be missed on the title screen. Going forward we'll try and place a brief tutorial in our games. Thanks again!

This game was great. I really dug the style and I could definitely see myself playing this on my phone.

Cool idea. The art is great, it looks like it could really have been a gameboy game. I think it could be a little faster paced though.

I'm sorry. I couldn't figure out how to get passed the first jump. I must be missing some controlls. If you add a description of the controls to your page I'll give it another go.

The sword feels great when you have control of it. I wasn't able to figure out how to take downt the shield guys though.

Very cute player sprite. I could have used a description of the goal as it wasn't obvious to me unitl i foudn the flower.

Neat game. I would have appreciated some tooltips to tell me the difference between the swords bar and the shields bar. That being said, it's a cool entry.

I liked a lot of the subtle touches here. Like the having the camera gravitate to the point opportunities  and the change in leash color as you get further away. I also appreciated that the happiness points still go up in the circle.

That is a very good point... Thanks for the advice and thank you you for playing!

Very pretty. I like the lighting effects. Unfortunatley, I didn't seem to lose control after 15 seconds.
