Thanks for reaching out! I’m good for now, but I’ll keep you in mind for future stuff.

Our upcoming indie horror game, Memories: Silenced

At first I asked some friends to play my game. When they tried it, they had no prior knowledge about it, and they were different types of players. Some liked exploring, while others tried to reach the objective as quickly as possible. It’s not a large playtest sample, but even from that small test it helped me understand how different players approach the game.

In my experience, Godot feels lighter and easier to use if you want to make a simple game, especially for 2D projects.

Unity, on the other hand, has a huge Asset Store. You can find a lot of free assets there and use them to experiment while learning.

Once the game is solid enough, I think doing playtests and gathering player feedback helps a lot. Watching how people actually interact with the game often reveals things you’d never notice as the developer, and it gives a better idea of whether the experience is truly enjoyable.

Thanks a lot for the offer, I really appreciate it! I’m not planning localization just yet, but I’d definitely be open to it in the future. I’ll keep you in mind!

For me, narrative can be really helpful to understand what the game is about, as long as it's well written. It gives context to the world and the situation.

I also really like environmental storytelling. Sometimes just being in a place and noticing small details can already tell you a lot about what's going on without needing too much text.

For me, one of the hardest parts is finding the right music for each scene. Making it feel immersive and match the mood of the moment takes a lot of trial and error. Sometimes a track sounds good on its own, but once it's in the game it just doesn't feel right.

Maybe just add a short content warning to be safe. Even if it’s not graphic, a quick heads-up can help players know what to expect.

I don’t think jumpscares ruin a horror game. If they’re not overused or easy to see coming, they can actually make things way more tense and fun.

Take your time and try doing as much as you can yourself. You’ll pick up a lot along the way, and the little touches really make a difference. By the end, it’ll feel way more yours and it’s pretty satisfying to see it all come together.

Hi everyone,

Below is a screenshot of one of the conversations, along with a preview of an event that can occur during gameplay.

Still polishing things, but progress is steady.

Thanks, glad you think so!

Thank you so much! That really means a lot to us. Wishing you the best on your game dev journey too, keep going!

Hi everyone,

Devlog update – Night mood

Here’s a short clip showing the game’s nighttime atmosphere.

Working in a team has its own advantages. If you run into a problem, you can get help from other people. But when you work on a project together, finding a team you actually click with is just as important.

When you work solo, you have full control over how the game is made, which can be really nice for learning and experimenting.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share a small look at what we’ve been working on lately for Memories: Silenced. This shows the kind of atmosphere we’re aiming for.

We’ve now reached around 70% of development. There’s still a lot to polish and tweak, but the game is really starting to come together.

Thank you!! Really glad you like it 😆

Hiding under the bed might be a good idea for some moments.

Hi everyone,

We wanted to share a small milestone for our project. This is our first horror game, and we’ve finally finished the trailer. Before that, here’s a short description of what the game is about.

Memories : Silenced is a first-person narrative horror game set inside a suburban house, where ordinary routines gradually give way to unease.

The story follows a quiet household shaken by an unsettling incident nearby. As the day unfolds, small disturbances, unexpected encounters, and fragments of information begin to form a disturbing picture. What initially feels mundane slowly becomes threatening, and familiar spaces no longer feel safe.

The experience focuses on atmosphere, grounded presentation, and subtle storytelling. Fear emerges naturally through observation, sound, and the presence of other people, rather than through constant action or spectacle.

This trailer represents the current direction and tone we’re aiming for. It’s still in development, but we wanted to share the atmosphere we’re trying to build. Any feedback or thoughts are very appreciated.

I am sorry, but you can not do that. As explained in the license, you may not redistribute the assets. But you can open source your game source code without open sourcing the assets.

Thank you :)

Hello everyone,

I released my 2nd paid project but I can not find it when I try to search it. I thought only first paid project that takes longer. I also released a devlog for it, but I can not find it in the announcement devlog. Can you help me about it?

Thank you in advance.

Yes, it works now.

Thanks.

No, it doesn't work. I still can not upload any picture in the detail description.

I even can not attach a picture in this comment reply.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hello,

I plan to upload a new project and add image or gif for it. I try to click the upload image in the attachment menu, but it does not work. I can not access the image folder from it. Is there something wrong about it?

Thank you.

Is there any way I can do to fix this problem?

Hello everyone,

I made an announcement post about my upcoming projects. But, when I try to search it in the release announcement category, it does not appear. However, the post is viewed by others when I check it through the creator dashboard.

Did I miss something? Or something is wrong with my post?

Thank you.

Yes, it is indexed now.

Thanks for your help.

Hello everyone,

I published my game asset about 14 days ago, but I can not find it when I try to search it.

I have read the article/FAQ about indexing and I think the project matches all the requirement. I also sent an email to the support but got no answer yet.

I  wonder if there is problem with the project or it is still in review queue ?

I hope I get some information about it.

Thank you for your attention.
