Here's the latest entry! This one is sort of different because it exists in a limbo between a journal track and release work. It evolved from a thought and experiment into a thing of its own and you can learn more about it by reading the description.

Since this is probably the last entry of the year, I want to wish you happy holidays and new year!

Cheers!

Just checked it. Keep it up!

Yeah. It's nice for a prototype. I'd like to see some action.

I have this feeling when submitting my own work as well. I thought that, with time, it would go away but it doesn't. You do get better at dealing with it, though!

You gotta understand that it's impossible for everyone to like it, so do it even though you know some people won't enjoy it. It's completely fine.
And if there's someone that actually goes out of their way to express that they HATED what you did, well... it says more about them than the work itself. Don't take it personally. The people willing to give constructive feedback are rarely (if at all) aggressive.

Everyone deals with this in their own way, the only advice I can give you is to investigate and find out exactly what causes this feeling. It might be something unrelated.

New entry!
This one requires a good deal of attention to be fully appreciated.

Listen as the notes appear, shine and fade away in waves as you welcome them into your consciousness!

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the encouragement!
And cool sounds. Keep it up as well.

New entry!
It's been hard to stay consistent in the last few months, but I'm working hard (even if more slowly than I want to) to keep these entries coming!
I explain a bit more about the vision on the description. Make sure to read it. Cheers!

That's really cool. I love Mushishi's soundtrack. I think our tastes aligned a lot on this hahahaah!

Moon River community · Created a new topic Thank you!

Hey, I just wanted to say I appreciate this game a lot! I like how you tackled the theme of mortality (or lack of) from a community perspective and not just an individual struggle. Seeing how each island handled it in their own way was very refreshing!

Also, as a Bloodborne fan, I couldn't help but notice some nods to the game. I don't want to give examples so I won't spoil anything. But I wanted to know if you took any inspiration from it.

Anyway, I respect what you did here and I wanted to thank you for making this game. I'm curious to see what you'll come up with next. Cheers!

New entry! This one is about overcoming creator's block by thinking of your mind as a vast ocean that needs to be explored!
The vision was to make it sound as if you're on a big adventure, sailing on a boat after new islands.

Let me know if this resonated with you!

Had to take a month long break for personal reasons, but I'm back with a new entry! Enjoy!

Hey, this is pretty solid for an alpha. I had fun playing it until the end. I actually got curious about the story now. I'll be following for new updates. Congrats!

New log entry! Enjoy!

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I'm keeping this thread as well. There's a new one coming on Monday, so make sure to check it out.
Cheers!

I'm taking a dev log approach to make a music journal containing short compositions and written thoughts to go with them. I'm posting them regularly and I thought a format like this would be really good.

If you enjoy having music delivered to you in a "thought of the day" fashion, make sure to come here every now and then.

Have a great day!

Hi!

My name is Gutto Ze and I like to describe myself as a very passionate and down to earth person. I'm trying to build a community around what I do, which is sound design and music, for those who enjoy having new things to listen to on a regular basis.

When I'm not working on other people's projects, I like to make my own releases and upload improvisations on sounds I explore.

If you'd like to collaborate, let's have a chat on Discord (add me: guttoze) to discuss the specifics of your project and how I can be of service. If you'd like to just receive some content on a weekly basis, follow me on my Ko-Fi page. There is free and paid content available and much more to come!

Thank you for the attention and I hope we can stay in touch!

This is really fun and relaxing. I spent more time playing it than I expected. Good job!

Hey! Thank you so much!

I really appreciate the words and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

You're very welcome!

I wish I could help without giving any spoilers hahaha
One thing you can try is to look on the internet for synonyms for the words you have tried.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks! I really appreciate it!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm just going to add one thing to this comment, which is really good.

I believe this is the approach most solo devs take. But it's important to note that, specially if you're taking the fiverr route, making sure the art/music is cohesive for the whole game is crucial.

For this asset per asset method to work, you have to work with the same person to ensure consistency. They have to be involved in the game somehow to understand what you're trying to make.

Just giving people a brief from time to time of what you're trying to make is not a good plan. So communication is very very important with this approach.

Good luck!

This game is super fun! Congrats!

A mecânica de usar os inimigos mortos como "arma" é bem interessante. Acho que vale explorar mais isso. Parabéns pelo resultado!

This is really fun! Congrats!
