Thanks for playing! I'll watch your VOD.

Yeah many things are planned, like music or more options on the pause menu, but I wanted to keep it simple for now, to be ready for events like this one

You're not the first to be confused about some of the puzzles, the way they are presented and their lack of hints, I'm thinking of ways to improve that

Thanks again :)

Hi! Thank you so much for playing the demo, and for this big review!

A lot of feedback here. Improving puzzles so that they accept any number of lines, as long as the final "drawing" fits the solution, is definitely a thing I will be working on.

Also, tons of good ideas for room 8 (the one with the blocks you place on the board).

For room 7 (the one where you spin the board), I will be thinking about ways to make it more comprehensible; the idea was that each section represents a number drawn by the "shapes": 1, then 2, then 3. But I can probably make it more obvious!

Finally, yes, I have to admit so far I haven't taken the time to work on optimization, I'll investigate some ways to improve on that for the next demo patch

Thanks again, and I'll go watch the VOD as soon as I can :)

PS: the other post-it note is clearly unfair haha, it's in room 5 (where you get the screwdriver), you have to go upstairs, walk outside on the sort of "balcony", and do a jump with mid-air control to reach the other side of the barrier, then you can walk behind the building and find it

Hi! thanks a lot for your review, I'm glad you enjoyed playing the demo, and your feedback is very valuable, so thanks again :) About your game, I'm on a Mac, but I happen to have a Steam deck as well, and apparently your game runs on it, so I'll give it a try!

Hey, thanks for playing my demo! Yeah you're confirming what I was afraid of: the concept is more tedious than it is actually fun. I'll try to think of ways to improve that. And you're the second person to tell me the trampoline puzzle was too complicated, I'll definitely have to fix that

(I really want to try you game but I don't have a controller at home right now; I almost found out all the keys to play it on keyboard, I'm just missing the key to "grab" with the right hand!)

Fun little game, I got to retry it multiple times but unfortunately couldn't go past the first level xD I think what confused me most was the fact that the "effects" of the orange and black cats only happen after they've been placed? (and also at the time of placement, for the orange ones). Like if you place a black cat, it won't hit the cats already placed in its "hitting range", only the ones placed after?

I think a few improvements could be:

- if it doesn't break the whole purpose of the game, allowing to reposition cats in other boxes after they've been placed, would be nice UX-wise. I think I got a bit frustrated of always having to undo all previous actions

- little tweak, but showing the effects of cats as they appear on the cards, but also in a bubble or something when you hover over the cats in the boxes, would be cool to have

- and finally, adding something that indicates when the effects of the black & orange cats occur, probably with a small text (because I don't know how you would do it with icons only lol)

Edit: I tried a little more and could beat the first level, yay!

A nice and well polished game, it's the kind of puzzles I enjoy doing once in a while. The combination of old tavern vibes and the music can make for a nice relaxing puzzle game. Probably based on my tiredness after a day of work, if I had two things to say, it would be: 1. a little bit too much text for my taste, and 2. I think the introduction to the "take control of this entity and move it" mechanic increases the difficulty a bit too much, all at once. But I'm not sure how you could make these puzzles more accessible

Thank you leafo, indeed there was this file on my desktop (did it appear after trying to run the dmg file? probably, not sure), I just had to open that, and then move the "Baba is You" icon in the opened window to my Applications folder

Now it works! Hope it helps other Mac users, for anyone still having this issue, just check your desktop for this file (see screenshot)

Hi, I just purchased the bundle for Ukraine and wanted to try Baba is You, but unfortunately the game is simply not running on my Mac

I double click the file BIY_mac.dmg, nothing happens, I tried installing and launching from the itch.io app, it just opens the install folder with the BIY_mac.dmg in it, so it doesn't help

Nothing shows as well in the Security & Privacy settings screen

As there is no community page on the game's page, I'm trying here. Anyone having the same issue?

Thank you

The aesthetic of this game is pretty impressive, I loved the mood, and the gameplay itself is original, great job :)

Yes, it's random everytime you restart the game :) Thanks for playing !

I loved it, great job! the art looks nice, and I actually wanted to play after winter to fill that damn silo :D too bad I never had the chance to get that green rain effect !

The game overall is really polished, congrats to the team

I like the atmosphere a lot! good job :) unfortunately I couldn't kill any of those things haha

Thanks for playing! Yup, a combination tracking system definitely would have made things clearer for the player :)

Sorry about that, I actually didn't know on which platform that .pck file should go :D

It's fixed, Windows' link is a zip now
