Ever tried drawing over 480 frames… just to scrap them and start fresh?
I did. And I promised: if it’s not good enough for my survival game, I won’t sell it to yours.
So here’s BareByte: a modular, 8-directional animation pack built for top-down survival games, handcrafted as I build my own. Every animation you see was made with game-readiness in mind, not placeholders, not prototypes.
What’s Inside (So Far):
-
Idle (New): 168 frames (8 directions x 21)
-
Walk (New): 96 frames (8x12)
-
Sneak Walk: 168 frames (8x21)
-
Jump from Idle: 96 frames (8x12)
-
Walk-Jump: 56 frames (8x7)
-
Run: 72 frames (8x9)
-
Jump from Run: 96 frames (8x12)
-
Pickup (Medium Object): 144 frames (8x18)
Bonus: Original animations preserved as legacy content.
Modular base + ready for overlays (gear, grime, clothing)
Why It's Different:
-
Built for fluidity across transitions (I’m now working on transition animations too)
-
No placeholder loops, everything is directional, modular, and game-ready
-
Files come organized with sprite sheets, separate directions, transparent PNGs, and GIF previews
