Did I set up this correctly?

I am working at a new project for game assets and I want the basic assets to cost 5,and the extra like more animations and variations to cost 30

Did I set up this correctly so that who wants the basic to only have to pay 5 dollars and who wants to get the full everything have to pay 30?

Since the project page is not live, it’s difficult to tell all the details for sure, but here’s what I gather from your screenshots:

  • The base project is set as $4.00, is there any file that does not have a manual price? If not, people that purchase your base project will have access to no files.
  • You have 4 files, that start from $5.00 and up. Files that you set the price manually work in a tier system. That means if someone spends $20.00 on your project, they will have access to all files priced $20.00 or lower. In your case, if someone spends $30.00, they will be able to download all files associated with that project.

If I’ve understood you correctly, I’d suggest to mark the price of the base project as $5.00, and uncheck the manual pricing of the Basic package.

Hope that makes sense :)

Thank you so much, I didn't expect itch.io to have such a wonderful and helpful community

And one more question, I saw you can give acces keys, for example, how can I give you a key once the project is launched as a thank you gift?

You can generate keys by going on the project’s page, and then go to “Edit Game” -> “Distribute” -> “Download Keys”. From there you can create a download key, which will give you a URL you can share with people, so they can download your project for free.

Keep in mind you can always revoke the key, if you suspect it’s been leaked or otherwise compromised.

If you want to contact me privately, you can do it on Twitter or Discord (TomT#0284), but I’m happy to help regardless :)
