Oh, I don't think it needs to be! It was a big part of the fun for me as I learned to decipher the combinations of in and on.

Very unique visual style. Love the Stardew Valley fishing minigame, so that is right up my alley.

Love the visuals, as I am a big fan of good pixel art. I'm also impressed you were able to add an options menu in such a short time, a feature my own game is certainly lacking. That said, the gameplay could be improved, as there does not seem to be a difficulty ramp, or it's too slow. Also, the score banners did not always go away after clicking, and the game pausing when they appeared rather than simply appearing and disappearing on their own cut into the gameplay a bit.

That was pretty good. Powerpoints being the product produced by managers is really funny.

The foggy forest looks great for a 3-hour dev time! That said, it was quite difficult to find and interact with apples.

17 on the first try! This one is pretty fun.

I can't believe how much content is in this game for such a short dev time. Got the most play time out of me of any game this jam.

I MUST feed Terry

A very funny take on the theme. Visuals and sound were actually pretty unnerving. My one complaint is that I wish he asked for more dishes with some sort of difficulty rap up, rather than hitting start for one random dish each time.

Really fun. I managed to feed the beast 6 meals at my best. I love the random spawns of the traps. Makes it very replayable. I also really like the art.

Great proof of concept! I was disappointed there was only the one level. I hope you add a few more after the jam!

Definitely among the best entries this week. I don't know how you managed the whole tentacle follows mouse thing, so consider me impressed. The difficulty progression was on point, too.

Thoroughly confusing and very fun to figure out what anything means. As Noamoa said, it's very satisfying to learn the language and rhythm.

This was pretty fun. I like the donkey kong style, and the theme is pretty funny. It was fairly challenging, and I appreciate that.

While the mechanics are, of course, quite simple for a city builder, I am impressed you attempted a city builder at all in such a short time. The art is very nice. I only wish we could have seen signs of the beast attack, such as an audio cue, the beast prowling, or visual effects on the settlements.

I absolutely adore a good narrative. Add in an interesting, unnerving art style and you've made a fairly memorable game.

I appreciate it! The gameplay is insanely simple, so I decided to focus on making it feel as good as possible with sound and visual effects. And 45 is pretty good! Anything above 40, really, as you usually start shrinking pretty fast by that point. My current best is 61.

Thank you! I finished with a fraction of a second to spare. It was insanely close.

Oh dang, that is unlucky! They spawn 1 per second, which slowly ramps down over time, plus 12 pre-spawned near player spawn. You can usually find groups if you keep moving to different areas of the dungeon. My current best is 61, which has admittedly been quite hard to beat. I'm glad you enjoyed it, nonetheless! I had a lot of fun with the DnD theme.

I defeated 6 enemies before my luck ran out. I'm pretty proud of that.

3:30 on my first try. Really impressive game, for the time. Art is great, the gameplay is engaging and tense, and the difficulty curve is perfect. Also, the rest stop was a nice touch.

It may have surpassed the time limit to a notable degree, but this game is absolutely stunning. Something about this art style and color choice makes me feel things.

530!

In celebration of the Anna's Remorse release, LOTM has been lowered to only a dollar, permanently! Everyone has a starting point, and this was mine. And now, a couple years later, I have made it so far.

Thank you! I'm glad the art and narrative resonated! I wanted to add a barrel roll and fire breath so badly but ran out of time. I may choose to update the game with these additions later, though!

I loved the core mechanic of resource allocation. Being able to scale down added loads of strategy.

I had fun! The main mechanic is really clever, and I like the experiment feel to it.

Navigation can be a bit difficult, but the skill improvement and memorization gives this game a fair bit of replayability for a Game Jam game.

A good base mechanic and the aesthetic is great. I'd love to see more elaborate puzzles if you choose to develop this further.

Must CONSUME

31 is impressive! The bats were small, which made them harder to see and hit, but it was not to a frustrating extent. They were fun.

Thanks for such a detailed review! I definitely used reaction time to up the challenge quite a bit. Not only do you slowly approach the edge of the screen in each stage, but, like you said, it gets reduced significantly in stage 4. It was definitely intended to up the difficulty with time.

I used visuals to keep things challenging and simulate Azul's own difficulty seeing and dodging attacks. This is especially the case with the blizzard in stage 3. However, I definitely see how the arrow's size could get frustrating, and I'll keep that in mind going forward! It's no fun if you cannot see the threats at all!

All in all, I'm quite glad you enjoyed the little story I told and the way I told it. Thank you for playing, and for the useful feedback!

Thank you! Narrative games are my jam, so I'm always glad when the story shines. I loved your game, too!

This was a nostalgia bomb for the classic zombie shooters from my childhood. The visual style was chaotic but cohesive, which only added to the hectic nature of the game. I made it to wave 13, with 654 zombies down.

I appreciate it!

That was great. The base mechanic is clever, and the puzzles are super well designed. Each one had multiple paths that seemed right, making it challenging without being frustrating. I'd love to see more levels added after the jam, as I was disappointed when it was finished.

Well, you managed to make me sad, then happy in the span of about 5 minutes. You did a lot in so little time. I love a good story game. Well done!

This was awesome. Admittedly, I'm stuck on level 2, but Repente Vitae is fun enough that I want to keep trying at it. The style is really cool and rather trippy. It helps that I'm a sucker for Latin. Well done, my friend!

This was a lot of fun. It reminds of retro platformers, with your choice of sound effects and all. The spellcasting combat was a lot of fun. Could benefit from a control scheme, but once I figured out what I was doing, I quite liked Sivard, The Lizard Wizard.

Also, I, too, went for a reptile character for the scales ^^
