Oh dang, that is unlucky! They spawn 1 per second, which slowly ramps down over time, plus 12 pre-spawned near player spawn. You can usually find groups if you keep moving to different areas of the dungeon. My current best is 61, which has admittedly been quite hard to beat. I'm glad you enjoyed it, nonetheless! I had a lot of fun with the DnD theme.
