So sorry you couldn’t crack it! Where did you get stuck? My biggest hint would be to reference the classroom rules on the wall and let breaking those rules guide you.

Good work! Great foundation, could easily add some sfx and a difficulty ramp like the other commenters mentioned to spice it up.

Same issue with the up arrow, but not a huge issue.

Thanks for making it!

So fun! Ran around digging, had a wonderful time.

Only thing is i wish it was easier to drop things, like a separate button.

Fantastic work!!

WOOO BEES! So fun. My hand got tired after a while clicking so much.

Had a wonderful time.

So fun! So many combinations! The art is great, the sound design is on par. Great work all around.

I know people have mentioned it lacking a real goal other than to fill out the recipe book, but it would be so simple to add a gameplay loop on top of this.

Reminds me of my team’s game “Soup” from a few years ago, with a similar concept to this but with soup instead of icecream.

So fun! love the sandwiches and multiple enemies! The movement was pretty solid, a little floaty but it felt responsive!

The varied jump height was a good addition. Well done.

Incredibly well done! Love a skill tree. If you were to build it out more, I would make sure that upgrades that don’t do anything get worked out. Like once your shake-power is to a certain point, there’s no point in upgrading because it’s gonna take two shakes either way.

Great work, huge fan.

I love this game! Frogs!! I’ve made a couple games with mad-lib mechanics before, this is really well done. Separating the word banks by mood / subject, very cool. Beautiful art and fun audio!

Good work.

Very fun! Got both ? endings!

Thank you! Yes there are more endings, you might need to try showing the teacher more items.

There are 5 distinct losing endings (fire alarm is one) but they aren’t very dissimilar. There is only one win screen, where you leave and get to the party.

Thanks so much! I’m glad you liked it :)

Yeah I definitely went overboard with the click amount, didn’t have enough time to play test. Thank you so much for the feedback! If I update the game I’ll rebalance that :)

Definitely need a replay button! Thank you so much for the feedback. I think an intro cutscene to point players towards the rules list would be helpful, kinda fun to figure it out through trial and error though.

NOOOO HANS PLEASE LOVE ME BACK

Great game!! Incredible art, fun unique fishing mechanic too. Took me a while to get used to it but super fun. I’ve had similar spinning cranks in my games before, I wonder if there’s a way to keep the player’s cursor from drifting out of the sweet spot. Or maybe that’s part of the skill.

Loved it! Great work.

Incredible work!!

One of the best, fully fleshed out games of the jam. Great use of the palette too.

Our game had a phone too! If you update the game please let me run over my phone with a car. If I have to hear my phone vibrate one more time i’m dunking it in the ocean.

So much fun, played for almost an hour.

I am not very good at making sandwiches. Very fun game. I’ve been playing a lot of overcooked and plate-up recently and this was totally up my alley. Very fun game!

The game looks GREAT. Fun animations, good scenery, lighting, etc. Great style. Well done, especially for a jam.

Thank you o7

Well done! I enjoyed the pokemon combat, the story aspect is very good.

Very well done, witty and well illustrated as well.

I’ve made the mistake of leaving sound effects for last in past jams. I am glad I prioritized them this time. So much you can do with open source and public domain sounds. Thank you for the feedback!!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you enough it

Fantastic work! Very funny and the games were great. I think if you choose to go along with mr. chad’s plan but then beat the whack-a-fish the game breaks. Well done.

Beautiful game. I’m a sucker for space and music, you’ve got me tearing up just a little.

If you expanded this I’d want to see different plants for each region so you could pick an instrument or sound or whatever.

Loved it, great work.

Gorgeous environment and characters. The trash blends seamlessly with the scenery. Great work. Cute otter, great merch. Hope to see more from you!

Great puzzle game! Was able to cheese a couple puzzles by placing the cubes through walls.

Lots of fun, looks great! very aligned with the limitation.

Well done! I think making the cursor upgrades more useful in the early-game might have made the waiting more fun. I might just have a short attention span.

Great art, well executed game. Good job all around.

Good work! Good take on the theme and limitation. A few bugs where just spamming keys would lock up the game or freeze things. Not a big issue.

Great atmosphere and art!! Thank you for making this.

I don’t know why, but after i met her at the mall, the next morning I went to go meet her but it said I missed my chance, even at 8am

Fixed the bugs! Thank you so much once again. Now the two broken end screens are working :)

Used the 2-day grace period to change the one line of code that broke this. A teeny tiny bit of more content for you.

Does not pertain to the summer theme exactly. but I am loving this. I would play the hell out of this game if you built it out into an rpg or dungeon crawler. Really anything. The boss had enough moves to keep me interested and the combat was engaging and fun. Add some sfx and were talking,

Very fun! Had fun filling my garden with abominations. Would be happy to know how high the score can get, Is your final score based on your progress as you go or just the final garden?

Oops! My web build wasn’t happy with the end game screens :\

You get a bad ending for pulling the fire alarm because it says to pull on it. That would be following the rules lol

Had to remove myself from my chair to stop playing this game. Very good concept and execution. Would love to see more about this. Great work. Gonna be coming back to play more.

Great art! Good twist on the genre. Fun to have to anticipate their needs instead of following the instructions. Good that it’s forgiving of mistakes.

Great art again, lots of fun! I forgot which ingredients did what and had to figure it out again.

Good work! Love the gameboy. My text boxes weren’t going away after I talked to people and when I paused I couldn’t get back. Love the beach!

The text cutscene in the beginning was great. Good audio, very liminal environment Kinda just bee-lined straight to the exit on accident. The voice being up in the corner and ALSO lying to you made it easy to kinda just tune out. If this were a game you were expanding on you’d probably want to find a way to force the player to pay attention to the voice. Good work in such a short time

Intriguing and fun! I think this is a much better walking alternative. Wish that were me spinning on the beach rn.

Great work! Hope to see more from you

The key is the rules sheet on the wall. There is one rule pointing you towards vandalism. What can you vandalize?

Yes! It is misleading. The fella in the passenger seat is in charge of the car’s steering, the hungrier, the worse at driving. It is your mission to keep the driver well fed and happy.

This requires cooking meat into burgers and similar activities. Certainly a misleading title. Thank you for playing!

Absolutely agree, needed more communication, a change in the sprite color, or a sound cue. Too many slams by far.

Thank you very much for the feedback.
