Yes! It is misleading. The fella in the passenger seat is in charge of the car’s steering, the hungrier, the worse at driving. It is your mission to keep the driver well fed and happy.

This requires cooking meat into burgers and similar activities. Certainly a misleading title. Thank you for playing!

Absolutely agree, needed more communication, a change in the sprite color, or a sound cue. Too many slams by far.

Thank you very much for the feedback.

first game i played for this jam but i was at work and couldn’t have audio on, came back again to play it all the way through. Such a trippy effect, probably the most unique game in the jam. really well executed!!!

Similar to that other fractal game that was submitted.

I had some issues finding the exact spot on the 3rd-to-last level, but that was just a skill issue.

Super fun, I would play hours and hours of this.

Like geoguesser in another dimension.

Glad you found it useful!! I just learned about it too

I’ve never played a game before.

I lived for 169.7 seconds. Very spooky.

I like the feeling of being dragged down by gravity. Using the extra speed in the other direction to decide what path I take next. Very fun trying to juke the monster too.

Dead ends are the only thing that really stung. Very well done.

super fun game.

Baaaa-latro

I would play the hell out of this game if you built it out. So much fun, and very funny. Great work

Pretty tough, loved the number of upgrades. great work for a game jam.

Combining all the abilities was really fun. I can imagine this being really addicting

Can ducks eat chocolate?

I enjoyed this. I like the perspective of the street. I see the vision and I like it

WOW. What an effect!

Absolutely nailed the theme.

I am never getting on a bicycle again.

Had the same issue as others with the slow loading but that’s expected for a jam.

Ear splitting jump scare alarm sound at the end almost blew my head shmoove off.

Each individual game was well implemented.

In the horror one, it was sometimes hard to react to the enemies, easy fix though.

Took me a while to realize there were numbers on the memory game, once i noticed, piece of cake.

Great work, so much content for a jam game. well done.

Love that rat!

Cheesy gameplay.

I would give it a higher ratting if there were more rats.

Squeaky clean visuals.

Played with mouse and keyboard.

Cat’s pajamas.

gwoaahhggh

Love the idea of a cycling platformer tied to the jumps.

The guy who lunges at you was too tough to avoid for me, but I’m no good at platforming so that could be a skill issue lol.

Good work!

Great sound design, got bitten by the dino.

Couldn’t get the washing machine to restart but that’s probably user error. Got jumpscared the first time the dino appeared.

Good work!

Had me a little confused, but the music choice kept me playing! I can imagine this turning into a really fun game.

Good work on the pixel art!

So incredible, the aesthetic is so cool. Great work! I spent most of my time trying to glitch my way through the ceiling, but once I got back to playing the game I found it very intriguing.

Is the camera for the player higher than the collider actually goes, or is the ceiling collider higher than the model for the ceiling?

to your credit those cigarettes will make mr. passenger get angry a little less quickly.

maybe there’s someone else in the car who would like a cigarette?

Bevy sprite picking is quite “picky” , so it wants your cursor directly on top of the hand, and you must light the cigarette first. I think the only two endings that are possible are the raw meat ending and the car crash, but there’s not much of a difference there. I really appreciate you checking out my game, thank you for the kind words.

I have dreams about being in the back seat while the car is flying down the highway quite often.

Thank you again! I’ve only managed to get one of the secret endings myself, the raw meat ending. I don’t think the “win” screen is possible though, will need to balance after the jam.

Thanks so much!!! I’ve heard that feedback quite a bit. I thought giving clues would take away from the fever dream but most mechanics are unintuitive so here’s some hints:

It takes 10 slams in the press to turn meat into a burger. The 3rd passenger wants a cigarette. Burnt meat makes the driver hungrier but heals the car a little. The key to the game is giving the 3rd passenger cigarettes

I used that effect religiously for previous jam game of mine Pressure Cooker. I found it had some performance costs and some of my friends couldn’t load the game.

I’ve been avoiding shaders because I’m a coward but your game is making me regret that.

Might be the best game in the jam. A little screen shake and I think you’d get a 5 for visuals.

I enjoyed this very much, killed the final boss no problem.

Seriously though I thought the goose was easy to control, felt good. Very funny plot twist with the gun. Keep it up

I can crash the game by spamming the bzzt at the beginning, hard crash, closes out of my browser tab immediately. Actually I found that i crashed pretty much garuanteed after a certain number of interactions, even spam clicking the doors. Probably my machine disagreeing with your shaders.

INCREDIBLE atmosphere, the ever-mentioned inventory system, the sound, the voice acting. Very funny, very well done.

Super cool game. Thank you for making it.

SO COOL! I was overthinking the WASD puzzles so that took me a while, but the visuals were too cool for me to get frustrated or burnt out. Very well done.

Is that bevy’s chromatic aberration effect at the end?

Bog is good! Bog is great! BOG!!!!

The level design is so good. Being able to tick back/forwards without much of a cooldown means it was possible to cheese some of the levels, but that could have been intentional.

Only real issue was getting my toes stuck in a brick and having to accept my fate.

Overall very nice.

I love this game! Both our games have burgers! I was thinking about making a whack=a=mole game for a jam sometime, so seeing the cats was like having my mind read.

Very feverish, very incoherent. I was confused when the duck didn’t immediately die after getting wet.

Fantastic, I tried to cheese the ending after finding a secret, but couldn’t get it to work. Managed too see past the walls of @@@@@@@@@@ by abusing the camera smoothing and ctrl+z

Super cool visuals and i love the variety of spells and ways to handle enemies.

i would love to see this expanded. having to clear out all of the enemies before progressing makes sense but felt a little tedious when i used blink to skip straight to the end at lvl 3 and then had to backtrack and find a rat.

Felt like a mix of dwarf fortress and the mines in stardew valley. would work great as a turn-based game too!

this is fantastic work, keep it up!

Love this, got too strong too fast and couldn’t be stopped. Lots of fun, would install this if i saw it on the app store.

Great game idea! Such a good variety of upgrades and customizability!

I would play the hell out of this game.

Good job.

As for the empty hand, he wanted something you had

There are 5 endings but only 3 of them are remotely possible Food poisoning, health complications, too fast, and technically one way to “Win” but it’s probably not possible without enough luck.

takes ten good slams to buger it

So good and solo too! Really fun idea.

Level design is hard but you made it work really well.

Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for the feedback!

I’d love to know what browser you’re playing through, I’ve had similar issues with my bevy games before but I chalked it up to shaders before, I’ll look into optimizing it more.

My artist kicks butt, I agree.

As for the gameplay, you can shoot the plants that grow to avoid getting too much O2, but it’s pretty precise as it’s based on the sprite and where your cursor clicks, easy to miss.

😌🙏

YAY! I APPRECIATE YOU

Now it’s fixed! If your head is in the water, you breathe just fine! Also check out the hats!
