neato! this is probably the most unique take on the ‘wheel’ idea on the jam theme ive seen so far lol! very fun I enjoyed it alot I got to maybe around round 7 or 8 i believe… the segments system confused me a little when I first came to it, but it was pretty easy to pick up and fun to make a wheel… :>

by god this games art is adorable i love it so much
its a very fun game too, I found it really funny to blow enemies up and see them going flying across the screen lol, and its really satisfying to take riskier moves and narrowly save myself by reeling myself in right before my hose gets broken… I do feel like it could use a small music track to go along in the back, but overall very lovely game
Very fun idea but im usually pretty bad at this kinda thing lol… creative use of the theme though, with you having to get the enemies bullets to shoot back at them! kinda wish when you stopped spinning it was a bit easier to see where you’d land, or if when you’re not spinning it would follow your cursor instead of having to use tank controls to manuever your ship… nonetheless very fun game!
(hey uh, you didn’t to export your game lol, usually you shouldnt post your entire godot project as a final release…)
Instead, you should go up to this tab, and hit the export button

Then you wanna make a preset for the platform you want to release on… for the sake of this im exporting to linux, since thats my platform

and 1 2 3, boom! a standalone release that you can simply zip up and post online, free of needing to open the project in the godot editor

…the game itself was a bit messy, to be honest… I can see what you’re going for though, but it was kind of rough to me (plus the slot machine system for fuel definitely could have been done a bit better)… the pixel art was quite nice though, and I liked the color usage (but for the future, do try to avoid scaling up pixel-art in engine, it usually looks very messy and leads to everything not being uniform pixel sizes like it should be… you should make sprites as big as they need to be outside of there)
this is a first game though! and for that I think it’s really quite neat how much you were able to do! we all start somewhere, and this was definitely a pretty neato game for a first ^_^ don’t let my words demotivate you from future gamedev work, as someone who has been in dev field for almost 6 years now, its very much a series of incremental improvements! and I’d love to see what kinds of works you will make in the future
Its a good base for a game so far! just a few things
For starters I think the mousewheel for attacking is unique, but for a gimmick like that i feel its important to mention it somewhere in game. Additionally something I noticed was that enemies would spawn directly over my player, so that was kind of an issue… Overall i think the game just needs a bit more polish, maybe some animation work and more in the sound department would really help in making this game even better
overall very neat little game, a little flawed, but very neat.. can’t wait to see what kinds of works you do ahead! you have alot of potential ^_^
(also, psst… just so you know for the future, the common practice for game exports is to put your .exe and .pck in the same folder, and make a .zip for it to be uploaded online, just saying it so you know for next time :p)
cute game! definitely a little overwhelming with everything to manage but once you get the hang of it its pretty fun to run a (very legitimate 100% ethical) hamster business
Though eventually i think something got borked and i wasnt able to buy items anymore sadly,, which kinda put an end to my 2nd run around day 6 with me not being able to buy any more food or water for my 3 hamsters, but it was still super fun! And the visuals were very cute
cute game! its a little hard to control the jesters movement but eventually i think i got the hang of it
while it was a little overwhelming to juggle (…pun intended) both keeping balance and tossing balls, it definitely served for a bit of challenge and it was fun to see how high i could get my score! (though i do kind of wish for an easier start to get more adjusted to the games mechanics)
great work, keep at it!
I enjoyed the art of the game, but I feel like it was bugged, since I had been waiting for about 10 real minutes for the last person to arrive, but the killer outside refused to leave (like bro… it’s like 12 in the morning you’ve been there for like 16 hours)
but overall very neato game, I enjoyed it
turns out I underestimated how many people would be confused by C2 and C3 so I’m just gonna say that they’re on NNN.com and Palmworld.com (the domains on the two ads on facespace and NNN.com respectively)
sorry for any confusion/lack of explanation on them, I was sorta rushing in the last hour or so and I guess it was a bit of an oversight (⌒_⌒;)

true, if there's one thing I regret not having the time to properly implement it would probably be a combat system of some sorts like I intended at one point early in development before the crunch kicked in
initially I was gonna have some sort of alient-eater creature that would pose a threat to your colony past day 3/4 or so, and you would either have to avoid them or attack them in a similar fashion to olimar throwing pikmin at a bulborb... alas I had to cut both the alienteaters & combat system to make sure I'd be able to finish the game in time for submission
sorry in advance for the bad enemy concept art... my art skills aren't all that good ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ
(...good lord that spider looks so goofy :sob::sob:)
ooooh, I really love this, probably one of my favorite games in this jam! :D
I love the visuals, writing, and concept, and overall presentation, even if it is a bit short, I enjoyed every second of it
fun fact: I was actually considering doing a noir-type investigation game aswell before settling on the final concept for my game lol
fun lil game, I enjoyed the silly lil fishies that light the way ^_^
though I did notice atleast one serious bug, when you hit a mech other than the very big one with one of the disabler bullets, it completely freezes and locks up the game, and shows an error
this might just be an issue from me playing on the webgl version tho lol
doors 64 is an investigation-type game set on a desktop computer, where your friend tells you about an internet scavenger-hunt, in which you uncover several code pieces to get a reward (possibly a pile of AA batteries)
