fun lil game, I enjoyed the silly lil fishies that light the way ^_^
though I did notice atleast one serious bug, when you hit a mech other than the very big one with one of the disabler bullets, it completely freezes and locks up the game, and shows an error
this might just be an issue from me playing on the webgl version tho lol
This one is a great game! I liked a lot the concept of diving deeper to fight mechs, also the fact fishes are essentially aiding you in your mission by providing light! I liked the dub a lot. I loved the fact that there's a minimap: I tend to get stuck on levels, but with this one it wasn't the case! The big mechs are so menacing when they appear, and they made the fight truly epic!
Some critiques I have now: first of all, the player feels slow. The controls seem a bit too slippery, and I had a very hard time dodging bullets, but I get this might be part of the difficoulty (and the theming, because obviously in water it won't move as fast), so maybe adding a dash or run-like ability would be nice to have. I liked the fact there were two projectiles at first, but at the introduction of the disabling bullet I began to think maybe a second projectile is just confusing. I found myself using it only in a few occasions, and due to its long cooldown I mainly used the more spammable bullet. I would think maybe merging the disabling bullet and the big bullet would be optimal, maybe balanced by a slightly longer delay between firing the big bullet and the small bullet, so the player would have a choice of using the bigger, useful but slower bullet and wait a while before he can use the small one, or use the small, spammable one, that cannot disable shields (and would not be encouraged to hold both mouse keys to shoot both at the same time). I would also like to know when the big bullet's ready, maybe a visible timer or loading bar would do. Also one last small small nitpick: the big mechs look blurry most probably because you didn't put "filter mode" to "point(no filter)" in the mech's sprite in Unity, but this is easily fixable by either doing that, or scaling the big mech's sprites.
The music is great, tho I would've liked a more action music for when a big mech appears (but I understand it's not easy to compose in just 7 days).
Overall this is a great game, I could see myself returning to it if it ever gets updated! The gameplay loop is very fun, and the mech designs are simple but perfect! Great work, can see it becoming a bigger game! :D
Great graphics, sound and gameplay. I enjoyed playing. If I had one item on my wishlist, it would be to be able to see the cooldown of the different bullet types and maybe a health bar above some of the more difficult mechs.

Cool game and graphics at a high level
Could you rate my game (https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236838)?
Very good implementation of shooting and nice graphic style but need some audio controls.
Through the depths of the glowing sea!
Things I enjoyed ✔️
- I like the colorful vibrant esthetic of the game, it looks great! I felt everything tied together!
- Intuitive game play had me constantly replaying to get further!
- I liked the variety in enemies, it made you think while playing, and not just go in guns blazing like some other games.
- The glowing creatures, were very cool, and satisfying to watch them swim in their patterns.
Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷♂️
- I noticed one enemy was very pixelated, im guessing it was just a compression thing, because every other enemy looks great!
- Possibly have some variety in shooting sounds so it doesn't feel repetitive if you play this game for hours.
Overall 📓
This game was a very aesthetically pleasing game. I enjoyed my time playing your teams game, great job, and great work! I cant wait to see what your team has planned next, because this was a great experience!
I love the atmosphere of the game it is strangely soothing. Also the voice acting is a really nice touch. One feedback I would give is that the flashlight is weird. It doesn't look where you are shooting so you can't actually see the enemy when they can still shoot at you. Otherwise it's a great game :)
The music & art are really amazing. Shooting feels really good! Very good game!
Wow, The art is just 🤌🤌 real good, the only issue I could find in the game is the bloom in the menu suppressing the text in the buttons(the difficulty selection screen) anything else seems great. Sound is also a strong point in this game, the voice lines guiding the player are a nice touch. Congrats in general! Really well made game!
By the way, I recorded myself playing your game and the bug appears near the boss as I mentioned in previous comment (watch near minute 19, because I recorded other games too):
