Sorry, there’s just too many unused files and extra bulk that’d take too much time to clean up. This was meant as a quick project on top of a finished premade engine so I doubt I’ll get around to it.

Browser build should run OK though in most PCs though. If you’re having issues, let me know!

Simple and fun, loved the silly faces.

Good job! Hope to see more levels, it’s a really nice concept to expand on!

Nice combat, great environments, good humor and really well polished gameplay. Great work!

Awful ex though.

Nice mix of classic RPG and gothic horror. It was fun exploring and trying the small puzzles. Music really tied everything together, nice picks. Combat was challenging, but a nice session of hard and violent reading actually helped a lot. Those books are a nice grinding spot.

I did found an error; once you get through the library’s secret entrance and reach the girl, there’s a bgm missing. Thought you’d like to know.

Overall, nice work!

Napping was the key to victory, you can’t convince otherwise.

Thanks a lot! Glad it landed well, it was a really fun project to work on.

I had the same thought when making it, it started to feel like a Henry Stickman game haha. Glad you liked the title screen, it was the solution to “I kinda forgot to add an intro”

Truly one of the games ever made. I feel emotionally ready to eat a horse.

I liked the characters, their personalities were fun and clear. The combat sequence was a nice touch too and did a good job portraying the protagonist’s power. The dynamic visual approach was a highlight, nice work there!

I did feel a bit lost with the overall plot, like jumping into a story midway, so I didn’t fully follow what was going on. Still, I can see the work you put into this, it’s well put together. Nice job!

Really interesting concept here, I like the take on open world and managing armies as your “equipment” is very creative. The resource increase being tied to items also works well and keeps things nicely balanced. It’s hard to make gold “important” in rpgs, and you nailed that.

The pacing felt a bit light at times, I found myself wandering without much to do, so a few more “clutter” locations or ways to move faster could really help. I did like the raid option. I’m not sure if repeating the same one is intended though.

Also, small note in case it helps: a couple of units didn’t seem to work properly for me, like the support/cook not adding skills (or maybe I couldn’t find them), and one interaction that did nothing. Also, I didn’t manage to use TMP (green bar) at all, did I miss something?

Loved the punny names, and the world map is impressively big. Nice work overall, great job!

You saw the secret ending? Respect, good catch!

About fullscreen, if you mean the option in the settings menu, that’s from a small plugin I made. If you mean fullscreen filling the whole screen, RPG Maker does that with F4 and then F3, I just tweaked it so it fills by default.

If that wasn’t it, feel free to ask!

Haha, better late than never! Thanks a lot for giving it a shot.

Really enjoyed this one! Visuals are gorgeous, the lighting and scenery look amazing and you can tell a lot of care went into it. The story and dialogue were fun, and the characters were also entertaining. It’s on the shorter side, but I had a great time with it. Very nice work!

Quick note, I think there’s an issue with the browser build. Entering the maid’s room (the one with the candle, first floor) seems to hang the game. It may be something shader related. The Windows build worked perfectly for me though!

Glad you liked it! I’m relieved everything came together well in the end. Thanks for playing!

Nice job on this, especially for a first project and in such a short time!

I liked the enemy cg, they’re simple but fit the theme really well. Exploration and the secrets were a nice touch, and also the optional party members.

Combat is a bit trivial after a couple of levels, but the final boss was a fun challenge and made me think a bit more. I did run into some small issues with collisions and dialogue repetition, but nothing that would take away from the experience.

Overall, this is a really solid entry, well done!

Thanks! Had a lot of fun making it. Glad the humor and flow landed, it got way more complicated than I expected. Thanks for giving it a go!

So glad to see you playing through this one too! Thank you for the kind words, it took a lot of work to prepare the story and I’m really glad it came through.

I loved your post-game theory, it was surprisingly close to where I imagined it could go. Thanks for playing!

Oh snap, you caught me off guard! I’m really glad the theme and direction landed well, it truly means a lot coming from you. Thanks for running the jam and for the thoughtful feedback!

That really means a lot, thanks! I’m glad the weird landed well and that the combinations were fun to play around with. And thanks for taking the time to read the GDD too, that’s really cool of you. Appreciate the encouragement!

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it! It was definitely built as a concept-first project, so I’d love to return to it in the near future. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! I do enjoy writing, so I’m glad the presentation and humor worked for you, even if the gameplay wasn’t quite your thing. Appreciate you giving it a shot.

The Cephalopod Show wasn’t pulling the ratings we wanted, sorry. Glad you enjoyed it though! I was burning to add more content, but time was fleeting. The ideas are definitely there.

Glad you gave it a try! There’s definitely room to improve things like clarity and feedback, but I’m happy the format showed some potential. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

Haha, that’s spot on. I didn’t even consider Dungeon Keeper while making this, but it definitely fits in hindsight and gives me some ideas. Glad it came across as complete, thanks for playing!

I grow stronger

Really impressive entry. The presentation stands out right away, from the UI and sound design to the hand-drawn backgrounds and CGs. Seriously, those backgrounds, pure bliss.

The visual style is striking and very confident, and the creature designs are especially creative. The game is short but well paced, and the final fight was engaging enough to feel rewarding.

Overall, a very polished and an extremely high-quality jam game. Congrats!

Huge respect for how much of this you made yourself. The custom sprites and music really stand out. I feel the passion behind it.

The game experiments a lot with puzzles and ideas, I see a lot lot of creativity and a knack for trying new things. They were a bit challenging and sometimes needed more feedback or clarity, but I was impressed how well made they were, I know how easy is to break action things in RPG Maker.

Feels like a very simple and passionate puzzle adventure, and getting something this complete and functional together for a jam is no small feat. Very nice work!

I’m Glad you liked the art and interface! I’m not so good at making art so I tried to find a way to use colors and shapes instead.

Thanks for trying it out!

Nice to see you gave it another pass, I managed to finish it this time.

There are still some rough spots, but the game is simple and clear enough that they don’t stop you from progressing anymore, which is a big step up. The story is pretty straightforward, but it fits the jam theme well. If you keep working on it, I think adding more enemies or making the boss fights a bit deeper would help a lot.

You’ve got the basics down and it’s cool to see you sticking with these jams. Keep at it!

There’s a lot of effort here, especially for a jam game. The sprites look clean, the framework is interesting, and things like voice lines are really impressive to see. That said, I had a hard time following what was going on and which mechanics I was meant to use. It’s a really good project that definitely could use some focus. Overall, an entertaining game, and the designs are really cool.

Really impressed by the artwork and presentation. Everything feels smooth and well put together, and the use of color, sound, and UI works great. You’ve got a solid handle on the visual novel style, and the characters and tone shifts are well done. Overall, a very polished and strong entry.

Hey! I gave it a try, but I ran into several issues and couldn’t get very far. The blacksmith fight seems to have a missing BGM, so game cannot be completed, and there were a few other things that made it hard to tell what to do next. It might be worth giving the project another full pass.

Hopefully you can iron things out, I’d like to come back and leave a rating once it’s fixed. Good luck!

Thanks a ton for the gameplay! I’ve seen you around YouTube playing indie stuff, so it was a nice surprise to see you play one of mine.

Really glad you enjoyed the story too. It went through way too many rewrites, so it’s a relief to hear it holds up. I’m a big point and click fan, so this was also a chance to finally test that framework properly.

I learned a lot from your playthrough, and I even added a few of the things you mentioned. Thanks again for playing, and hopefully there’s more to come!

Thanks a lot for playing and for the detailed comment! I’m really glad the visuals worked for you, since my drawing skills are pretty basic and I had to get creative with the approach. You’re right about the tone shifts. That was something I noticed and tried to smooth out for this version, but I think it could still use a little more work. The title was meant to set up one thing and then pull the rug a bit, so the protagonist’s change would feel sharper. I get it might not land the same for everyone.

Really appreciate you taking the time to dig into it, thanks again!

Thanks a ton for the playthrough, your voiceover was pretty cool! I actually just wrapped up the story recently. If you ever feel like giving it another go, the full version’s up!

Really glad you liked it! Since memories are the theme, I wanted to lean more into psychological horror than the conventional kind. The style choices started as a way to cut down on workload but ended up fitting the story really well. Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Thanks a lot for playing! Writing the back and forth was really fun, and the silhouettes helped me keep things abstract without going too graphic, and also lean more into ambience. I’m afraid this might be the end of Eddy’s road though!

Glad you liked it! I’m really happy with how it turned out too.

Thanks! I’m glad it caught your interest. The full version is up now if you want to dive in and see even more horror unfold.
