Really interesting concept here, I like the take on open world and managing armies as your “equipment” is very creative. The resource increase being tied to items also works well and keeps things nicely balanced. It’s hard to make gold “important” in rpgs, and you nailed that.

The pacing felt a bit light at times, I found myself wandering without much to do, so a few more “clutter” locations or ways to move faster could really help. I did like the raid option. I’m not sure if repeating the same one is intended though.

Also, small note in case it helps: a couple of units didn’t seem to work properly for me, like the support/cook not adding skills (or maybe I couldn’t find them), and one interaction that did nothing. Also, I didn’t manage to use TMP (green bar) at all, did I miss something?

Loved the punny names, and the world map is impressively big. Nice work overall, great job!

Thanks very much for playing and for the detailed feedback.

I'll look into the support unit, I probably did forget to add the skill since the purpose of each member is indeed to add one skill and increase the troops overall stats. I never did a proper full playtest myself due to various time constraints with the jam and also real life so I did expect maybe some things I missed.

Unfortunately, the TMP is a broken feature - it was supposed to be Troop Morale Points which would be replenishable by rations and it would affect things like giving buffs and debuffs in battle to reflect how the troop were motivated but I didn't have the time to implement it, sadly.

Thanks for the review and rating and all the best for the jam :)
