Amazing game!

Impressive that you were able to develop the AI in such a short time. The randomness theme was truly embraced without creating a game that was frustrating, so well done.

One idea to potentially explore in the future is making it so that the different colored gnomes have different probabilities (e.g. red likelier to roll high numbers, yellow to roll low numbers). That way there is still an element of randomness while allowing for more nuanced strategies.

PS The gnome facts are hilarious. Thank you for including them.

The pixel art has a lot of charm. Love the fall animation, and in general the attention to detail (e.g. how the dice scrunches up its eyes while moving between squares).

Also liked the display on the left with the different sides of the die. Other dice puzzle games, take note!

A fun adventure! Appreciated that you took the time to build the atmosphere.

Minor suggestion: maybe the shield could have a red outline, so it's easier to remember that red dice -> shield and blue dice -> sword?

An original and memorable submission, well done.

Such a unique take on the theme, and weather is an excellent way to explore randomness.

Thanks for clarifying! Point system makes sense now

The visuals add a lot of charm. Some other puzzle games in the jam have had similar gameplay, but the art and story help this stand out.

Would help if we could see the sides of the die.

Still, very polished execution! Your team should be proud.

The character design of the dice is simple yet memorable and adorable.

The game took me a bit to figure out; agree with others that a tutorial would be helpful.

But good work! Like the concept.

Great puzzle design. New mechanics and movement patterns were so organically introduced.

Great atmosphere; the music especially sets the tone.

Such appealing art; so polished!

And new objectives keep players engaged.

Well done!

The idea of random arrow types is an original take on the jam theme. And there are so many :O

Would like being able to see the next arrow I will get, so I can plan ahead strategically.

Still, great work! Can really see you put a lot of effort into this :)

Creative concept! And the visuals are sleek. Great job!

Great concept and execution!

The symbol design was very intuitive, so it was easy to remember which symbol did what.

I love the neon effects, though they're a bit bright.

Great work overall! Really like seeing submissions that take a creative approach to the design of the dice itself.

Was entertained by the opening cutscene, added a lot of character XD Like the idea of a dice exploring a dungeon and going on an adventure!

As a next step, maybe you could try to make the fact that it's a dice more integral: for example, the player could have more control over how much the dice spins, and hitting with a higher number-face could yield higher damage - you'd then also have to think about positioning the dice for optimal damage.

But these are just some ideas for future directions; overall good work!

Love the retro look! And like the upgrade system.

Would like to be able to rotate with the mouse pointer instead of the spacebar.

But overall good job!

Amazing job! Very engaging game.

I really liked the tutorial; the rules were explained very clearly and succinctly. Also thought the faces on the emotion chart gave it a lot of personality, and enjoyed the casino theme.

One small suggestion is to add an easy/assist mode that is more forgiving, An audio cue during the last 3 seconds could also be helpful, so we know it's time to make a random guess and hope for the best if we haven't found the answer yet XD

Like the quirky concept, and the music really enhanced the experience! Gave me Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy vibes.

For some reason was running slowly on my computer.

Nice little word game!

Could you please explain how the grade and score are calculated?

I've seen a lot of puzzle games in this jam about rolling a dice on a grid, but the arrow tiles made this one different. Nice!

Such a unique idea, to create a text adventure. And love the presentation! Can tell that a lot of care went into this :)

Would suggest adding an option to scroll up on the computer and re-read earlier text.

Love the unique and colorful art style!

Also liked the animation and audio cue for falling off. Good job!

Fantastic visuals and great audio feedback, very impressive especially given the time constraints! Cover image gif very cute.

Enjoyed the twist on Warioware gameplay.

First memory game I see in this jam. Also the first fish-themed dice :)

Like the idea of having a shop between rounds. Good job!

The music combined with the visuals are so soothing!

I usually don't enjoy puzzle games but I really liked this one :)

Original idea! Nice to see a game that stayed true to the theme without including a physical dice.

Also the faces of the managers are hilarious XD

Nice art and color scheme! Like the inclusion of an Assist mode.

One suggestion is to add an option that lets you use the keyboard instead of the mouse; can be hard to play for a long time if you have RSI.

But overall great job!

Great UI design.

Also like the name of the game XD

Also couldn't find download.

You can reply to Mark's email to reupload, if you deleted the file by mistake?

Great idea and implementation, especially given the time constraints! Though I may be biased since I'm a huge fan of all things Mesopotamian XD

I too watched the British museum video and wanted to try playing this with a friend, so thank you for making this possible :)

I echo other people's suggestions of adding a tutorial. Another small recommendation (even if it's not historically accurate) is to make the rosettes a different color. For new players, it's a bit confusing that those let you roll twice while the other symbols on the board are purely decorative.

Thanks for playing. Like the idea of scoring more like golf; we were thinking of adding a timer but this could also be interesting

Thanks for your suggestions.

While creating the game we actually had a discussion  about whether the dice should be accurate haha. Decided to go with this design because we thought it would be simpler and less confusing for people not knowledgeable about dice :p

Thanks! And thank you for button suggestion; wouldn't have thought of that myself. Something to keep in mind for the next game jam.

Thank you for the suggestion! We unfortunately can't add a tutorial now during the voting period, however we did add some more information to the description so that the controls and purpose are clearer.

Thank you!

Thank you :)

Thanks for the feedback!

The score is working, but you only get points if the timing is correct. We added an explanation diagram to the game description:

Hope this clarifies things!
