I loved the original so much so this was a nice surprise, and it was fun to get to revisit the characters.  I do miss the CGs and even the MC sprite (something I dont usually care about, but she's so adorkable and always made me laugh), but I enjoyed the refresh.  Your games are always a rare treat, thank you!

I've gotta be honest, I really don't like some of the changes you made.

I'm sad that you removed the waking him up choice that made me laugh so hard that I instantly pre-ordered.  That just really popped to me and made the game stand out as unique.  It seems less funny now in general, though maybe that's just my memory.  A smaller issue is that the blinking pen was kind of distracting since it's so large and blue against all that pink.

Your artist is very talented and it's a matter of personal taste, but I kind of hate the new sprite.  It's much less vibrant than the old one, but would still be pretty enough if not for the weird white nose... shadow?  Highlight?  It's distracting.  I kept thinking it was my mouse cursor.  His expressions are pretty much always gentle and kind, which is maybe on purpose?  But with the color changes he just seems blander.  Again, maybe that's on purpose since he's the base model.  He went from feeling like an immature but harmless brat to feeling very big brotherly which feels strange in context of the game.  When you say you're going to include the original sprites, do you mean they'll be useable in game?  Or just that we can have the artwork to look at?  I would obviously prefer to wait for the original CG artist.

As it is now, I wouldn't have pre-ordered this game.  I would have noted it and probably checked it out again upon release, but I wouldn't have been particularly drawn to it.  Normally I'd at least find some good changes to point out, but it's been too long since I played the original to remember details.  I do appreciate all the hard work you've put into this.  I really am sorry to be so negative, and I hope it was at least half as constructive as I tried to make it.

Sam is so pretty!  I'd love a beautified demo.  I just replayed the other day and was thinking about how eager I am to see it with the polished art.  But don't feel pressured if you're busy, I wouldn't mind waiting for the full version if that's better for you.

Their tumblr and indiegogo page were updated just yesterday.  Looks like (with a little luck) we might be getting a more interesting update on April 10th.

She's beautiful, I love her!

I was a kickstarter backer who signed up for a refund the first day they offered them and I just got it yesterday.  If they're going through them in order then it might be a little while yet.

Everything you post makes me more excited for this game.  The setting, the characters, the RP aspects,  the art- everything!  I'm incredibly impressed that you managed to make me interested in all four of the potential love interests and equally thrilled that they aren't the only important characters.  It feels like a very fleshed out world and I look forward to exploring it!

Only one question:  will we get to see the MC soon?  I'm so happy they'll be customizable!

Neil's passionate ending was adorable and I loved it.  It made me blush and I'm not a blusher.  They were just so adorkably awkward together!  That said... I really need to replay the entire route for the full effect, but poor Neil's lost out big time to the endless glee of torturing Dimitri~  I ended up replaying his route several times.  The bubble bath CG is aboslutely gorgeous, I love how you did the bubbles.  I'd love to use it for a desktop bg.

I love the autosave!  It saved me big time.  I posted my weird computer/bug/idk crash in the bug thread, but I didn't mention the best part:  I lost nothing.  As soon as whatever it was happened, my heart sank.  I realized I hadn't saved after a very busy session of clothesmaking.  I started the game back up and was thrilled to realize that you'd implemented an autosave feature.  Thank you!  I try to be good about saving, but mistakes happen and it saved me big time.

I *think* it's new that we can use space bar or enter to progress?  I'm having trouble remembering, but I felt pleasantly surprised when I realized I could so I figured it was either new or new to me.

The bouncy ponytail is my new favorite hair, yay!  I really like the other new hair too, but I forget what it's called.  They're both my new defaults.

I feel terrible, you asked about Neil's route and I talked mostly about everything else.  I am looking forward to replaying it asap, and I promise I'll be back to talk about it more then. ^-^ And finally, I'm so excited to hear that you think the chapter releases will be quicker in the future cause I need more cute flustered guys~

My first guess was out of date drivers, but that wasn't the case.  Maybe the video card itself?  That I have a SSD?  It's a gaming desktop but getting a bit dated.  I haven't had the error happen again though.  I'm checking the performance now, but it doesn't seem at all taxed.

So I'm not entirely sure that this was because of your game, but I think there's a good chance.  I think it caused my video driver to crash.  I can't be sure because my computer seems not to have logged it, but it froze up mid sentence and then the entire screen went black before starting back up again.  The game is still a black screen but otherwise my computer is working fine again.

I was playing Dimitri's route, Chapter 2.  MC had just got ditched by Alex and they were sitting on the sofa talking about Dimitri's birthday.  MC was in the middle of the line where she wonders if she did something wrong.

I just replayed the scene without issue.  If it happens again I will update.

I'm sorry, I wish I had more info or was more certain, but it was alarming enough that I at least wanted to give you a maybe report.

I just finished the updated demo and I'm really looking forward to the full game!

I was surprised by how much I liked Pol, I usually don't get excited over the friend, but I really liked how it seems to be playing out.  Very charmingly awkward.  Marc is equal parts interesting and alarming (those bad ends T~T).  And Biel!  There was not enough Biel!  He was my favorite prior to playing and I'm still looking forward to seeing more of him.  I think cute but grumpy must be my type.  I really love the protagonist too.  He was a lot of fun to play as, being so high energy and determined.

The setting was really neat, I saw the pictures and expected something more 1800s steampunk, but it was really more modern steampunk.  Are we going to Alaya?  I hope so!  I share Tirs's dream a bit.

I liked how you reused the CG to good effect when most games would have just used the sprites.  Zooming in on part kept it fresh and was a nice break visually.  And the art is just lovely of course!

I only encountered one minor bug.  It was ignoreable, but I wanted to make you aware of it:

While running game code:
File "game/script.rpy", line 1082, in script
show pol normal at left with move(1)
TypeError: 'MoveInterpolate' object is not callable

I can't wait to see more, keep up the good work!

I always want to be bossy and playful, but it sometimes feels like MCs can only be bossy x mean or meek x sweet.  Have you played the demos for Ebon Light or Changeling?  The former has chooseable personality types (charming, cunning, and tenacious) and a fair amount of teasing (but little flustering so far), while the latter forced me to break my "no more high school games" rule because the MC is amazing (as well as the rest of the cast).  She's super snarky but more funny than mean (err by my standards anyway), and I'm pretty sure she's not going to go timid on us anytime soon.

The kind options were pretty sweet, but still good.  I liked how they felt more diplomatic/mature than meek.  I was happy with them until I learned I could harass the boys in fierce mode.  I played kind mode with Neil first, but I haven't been able to be anything but fierce with Dimitri yet.  Even being fierce, there are still some very sweet moments.  I think people will like one or the other at least, and I see a lot of praise for games with tougher MCs.  Your's is a bit unique in that she's both tough and very feminine, which goes well with running a boutique.  I also like how neither feels like the default mode.  Sometimes personality choices in games can lead to feeling like I'm choosing the wrong one, but both felt really natural in TT.

Are you considering any make-up options?  Or more face options in general?  OH!  I forgot to mention how giddy I was when I saw the addition of boots.  I'm a great fan of boots. <3

It's never too late to add the MC question!

...every time I respond I get the urge to replay your game.

Cinderella Phenomenon isn't bad, she's pretty bossy in a few routes though overall it's more equal.  7kpp, though still in development has Emmett, and while there's no much bossing about he is easily flustered.  It's been a while since I played Sweet Fuse, but I can only think of one route where she was really in the dominant role.  In the others it was more of a mix, though she's definitely a feisty one.  I keep coming up with more (all indies, I'm happy to make a list if you're interested), but usually they're in the "close but not quite" categorey.

I wholeheartedly agree with you about wanting to see the guys flustered rather than the MC.  Both can be fun, but we're already drowning in flustered MCs.  I'm glad you decided to go with something different.

Yay!  Well, at least he's got one excited fan already.  And who knows?  Pretty much every other otome game out there puts players in the more submissive role, even the ones with interesting MCs.  Some of the best put us in a position of equality, which is nice, but it's almost unheard of to get to play the dominant role.  I'm sure he'll gain fans once they get to know him (and their inner bully wakes up~).

Oh no.  I think I love him a little already!  Thank you for the sneak peak, I'm grinning from ear to ear now.  I don't suppose that my enthusiasm has convinced you to work on his route next? *eyebrow waggle*  Also I just realized that I missed that it says Aiden is flustered in the trailer, as a main personality feature.  I should pay more attention.

I can't wait to boss him around~

I purchased the pre-order special deal, but I didn't see a little survey.  Did I miss it or...?  Should I also send an email?

Yay, I'll re-download!  ...After I take a few pictures of my favorite designs.  It's not a big deal, I'm used to beta testing. ^^

It was kind of fun to go in expecting one thing and get something a bit different, I enjoyed the surprise aspect.

AHHHH, I can't wait for chapter 7 then!  I never thought about it in those terms before (probably because most games don't let me act on those urges), but I am absolutely an otome bully.  Awkward guys are the best. <3  I would like to officially change my vote for next guy to Aiden please!

And you're very welcome, it's praise well deserved!

Nope, the CGs definitely didn't use my original color choices, sorry!  I'm excited that soon they'll reflect my changed appearances, I love giving my MC fun colored hair.

Ooh, bundles as rewards would be a lot of fun.  I like that idea.  I think designing something specific was more interesting than just fullfilling the random designs.  It's more fun to me to make something pretty.  And with the bundles as a prize, the challenge might feel worth it for people who struggle.  You could also consider making the non-major-plot items skippable like anything else.

I had no idea the colors were grouped!  I was painstakingly matching exact colors.  Ha, I might still do so, I think I liked it.  But at least I know that I don't have to in case I get frustrated.

Now that I've gone fierce, I don't know if I can go back!  I probably wont pick ALL fierce next time, but they were soooo funn!  Actually. poor Dimitri may never see a single kind option, he's a delight to tease.  At least he seems to like it!

Specific spoilers, ahoy!~

I think I was initially put off by my expectations based on their descriptions.  I guess I was expecting a sweet childhood friend route from Neil and a more sibling-esque route from Dimitri.  I figured that Neil would start off all cold and ice prince, and wasn't expecting that he'd be hilariously awkward and sadly overstressed.  The flailing humanized him quite a bit and the moments of sweetness were just enough to show depth.  I didn't expect him to be funny!  Then I was expecting Dimitri's route to be pure innocence (not my thing), and instead I've been gleefully tormenting him into blushing (my very favorite thing).  I think it's more that I've come to expect certain things from certain descriptions for attainable characters in otome games.  So I was expecting fluffy tropes, and instead I got fully fleshed out adult characters.  I'm very pleased to have been wrong!

I hope this helps.  If you'd like more feedback, you have but to ask- I'm very happy to oblige!

Before I get started, a possible bug:  The CGs all ignored my appearance choices and showed MC as brown haired instead.

Questionnaire for those that have played beta 1.3:
1. What is your gender and age?  34/f

2. Where did you find out about Tailor Tales?  probably lemmasoft

3. Is the art style appealing to you, or did it take some convincing?  I like the art.  I'm not sure what that's worth though, as I tend to prefer art that's interesting or unique to the standard anime look most seem to like.

4. Which (available) character is your favourite?  ugh, don't make me choose!  I suppose Neil, but honestly that might only be because more of his route is finished (and full of making out) so I got more attached.  I love both him and Dimitri.

5. What's your favourite scene?  Neil- Countertop scene, Dimitri- making him blush while he's making dinner

6. What's your favourite CG?  Countertop!  ...or the awkward selfie, that was hilarious

7. Which character would you like to be available next?  I'm excited for whoever's next!  I didn't expect to like either Neil or Dimitri, so I don't think I can predict whose routes I'll enjoy.  Appearance wise I would choose James.

8. How many fierce points and how many kind points did you get at the end of each route?  Previously I'd played as mostly kind, but I forget the exact numbers.  This time I decided to go full on fierce (and I had so much fun!) so I got allll the fierce points in both routes.

9. How much tailoring experience and gold did you end up having at the end?  4040 tailoring experience, 4900 gold left over, but I unlocked a LOT.

10. Was it difficult getting gold to purchase the chapters, or was it easy?  Purchasing chapters was easy, but unlocking the items got a little frustrating.  The costs were mostly okay, but buying all the little items individually got tedious.  I wonder if you would consider putting colors, details, and patterns into various packs that would allow us to purchase 3-5 at a time?  Maybe a small sale section with little bundles each week?  I realize that's probably a lot of work, but that was my only complaint so I thought I'd mention it!

11. Was it difficult re-creating garments that were important clients? I.e. the masquerade dress, Angela's dress, or the opera dress.  I think it was the correct amount of difficulty.  I got the colors a little wrong sometimes and had to work to figure out the correct lace pattern, but it was a fun challenge.  I wish there were more of those!  And it was really fun seeing the finished special dresses, they were beautiful!

12. Favourite aspect of the game?  I really love games that balance minigames with story and I think you've done a good job with that.  I like that it costs money now to unlock the next portion of story because it gives the clothing creation more purpose.  I also like all the blushing.  Being able to fluster the guys is super fun.  I guess my very favorite aspect would have to be the dramatic tension you've built up.  Dimitri's is only just starting, but Neil's story had me on the edge of my seat sometimes.  I might explode if they don't get closure soon.  No pressure.  Just saying.

I had a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing more!
