Wow, impressive score! Glad you like the game. I never got that far when testing and thought that would be enough merge levels.

So there isn't a bigger building yet. I might revisit and update the game in the future. But atm I'm focused on other games.

The track used in the game is very good! Also the art looks nice. I'm not really sure if there should appear fish on the side? I didn't catch one, but I'm also bad at rhythm games in general :D Still the game catched me for a few minutes :)

Very cool game, even more if it's your first one. Congrats! I also think it would add some tension to the game, if the shield also has a cooldown similar to the shooting. Additionally the cooldown(s) should be visible to the player, so that you can play more strategically. That's just some improvement ideas, in case you want to update the game in future.

Your game looks very polished from the art perspective. The magnet and box behaviour feels also super responsive and nice. For me this alone drove me through all 4 levels.

In my opinion the game lags some interesting level design. Currently you have to put too much boxes per level in the same way. I think with some clever levels where the player has to make some decisions (level 3 goes in the right direction), this could become a really good game.

Cool idea! :) It took me a while to get what things i should catch and which not. Maybe it's explained somewhere and i didn't see it. I also had some trouble understanding the upgrades in the shop. I think with some polishing of the ui and art this could become a nice game. Glad to hear you will be working on a post jam version of the game. Keep it up :)

Cool idea and submission! As others have mentioned, there are some things which could be improved. I think the controls and the level design could be tweaked. E.g. the first level could be a little bit shorter. And the player could accelerate a bit faster in my opinion.

You definitely seem to have your own art style in your games. Which is very cool!

Considered the small amount of time, this is a nice game submission!

The art style of the game is very clean and nice looking! Also the fact that you can play with different settings is great. In my opinion the sensitivity of the ship is a little bit too high, but that's maybe personal preference. Good submission. Keep it up :)

This game recreates the frustration of getting a fly out of the window to perfection and in a funny way! :D Very cool submission.

You are right! Thanks for pointing this out :) I should probably add some "overheat" mechanic which times out the shot, when you spam "A" for too long.

I think this is a very solid and creative game idea! The art style is also unique and cool :) Unfortunately the game is quite hard after the "tutorial". I also couldn't beat the "wolf" once. I would start with a lower difficulty and increase it over time. That said it's hard to balance a game in such short amount of time. Still a solid submission in my opinion!

Really nice game! Especially for this short amount of time. I like the minimalistic art style and the game flow. Also you did a great job regarding the sound design!

In my opinion the game controls could be improved a little bit by allowing a small delay when pressing two buttons at once (to jump). I often move to one side, when I actually wanted to jump. However that's a personal preference and maybe it's intended to make the game challenging.

Overall a super cool game! Congrats :)

Thank you! :)

Thanks! I'm really unsure about the balancing and if i made the game too hard or to easy in general :D

Thank you :) Unfortunately i don't have time to update the game before the jam ends. But i have some more ideas. Maybe i'll work on a post jam Version...who knows.

Hey,

thanks :) Yes you can do this. If you merge more than 3 buildings of the same type, you get more points.

Thank you :)

Hi,

we released a new update for our game City Blocks. It's a relaxed highscore puzzle game, about placing buildings strategically and upgrade them to increase the population of your city. You can now collect jokers by letting your citiy grow and use them to buy new buildings of choice. The game is available for WebGL and Android. Have fun building your cities. Any feedback is appreciated!

Hi,

we updated the game and made it a little bit faster according to your feedback. We are working on the android version right now.

Thank you very much! :)

Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I will keep this in mind if i update the game.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I will speed up the animation or make it skippable in the next update.

Yes, i'm currently working on a new "szenario game mode", which will include different level-sizes and other new gameplay features. However i'm just at the beginning of the implementation. At the moment i'm testing what ideas are actually fun to play.

I'm also planning to release the game on other platforms (Android, Windows, Linux). But i wanted to extend the gameplay content first.

I will post a devlog once a new version is released ;)

Thank you for your kind words :)

Hi everyone,

i made a small prototype for PROCJAM 2020. The game is about exploring invisible mazes, which are procedural generated. The time for exploration is limited and there will be enemies chasing you! Hope you have some fun :) Any feedback is highly appreciated!

You can play the game here:

https://devdudedd.itch.io/lost-in-the-maze

(currently HTML, Windows and Linux)

PS: Since this is a prototype (which is not fully optimized yet) i recommend to play the download version, if you have a windows pc.

Super nice idea and implementation!

Sometimes there are multiple images which i would like to mutate to see where it goes. Maybe some kind of 'undo' functionality (to go one or two steps back and select another image) would be a cool feature for future implementation.

Also the possibility to choose the image resolution would be a cool feature.

Keep it up!

Thanks a lot for your feedback! :)

I will think about this. At the moment i try to optimize the perfomance. Maybe i can upload a better webgl version the following days. Is it possible that you share some specs of your computer? That would help me a lot. Because for me its running okay, even though the it runs definitely better as standalone version.

Hi everyone,

i published my first game City Blocks, a highscore based puzzle game where you try to build a large city by placing new buildings on the grid. Each building will give you a certain amount of population. If the game is over, you can submit your city to get a rank in the highscore table.

Thanks for playing :)
