I’m sure a bunch of 12 year olds that are gonna have their brains screwed the hell up because of all this adult shit would agree with you.

This site is available to everyone, kids included. I don’t care about the adults, they can do whatever they like, but kids can be seriously affected by this stuff. I don’t have a good answer to blocking this stuff from minors except to add a boatload of personal info to accounts, and nobody wants that. But having an account be a requirement will at least block a few kids, and that’s good enough for me.

I think this is a step in the right direction, but could you implement a system for age-confirmation, since asking for a separate adult-only site is out of the question? Currently it’s just pressing a single button “confirming” the user is over 18. They don’t even need to have an account/be signed in. No offense, but that’s a pretty lousy security measure. Could it instead be: The user MUST have an account, with at least some sort of age verification.

Your very welcome and sorry for the incontinence.

Sorry, I was predisposed. Theme out now!

I love this game! Please turn into a full game! I think making the game last forever would make it an amazingly satisfying time-waster!

That’s fair. Thank you for giving it a shot anyway!

A very cool take on the theme. I feel like it could’ve been explained a little better, and it could’ve had more variety, but besides that, it’s very interesting.

The best game for the jam I’ve played so far. Slay the Spire is one of my favorite games, so a jam game based on it is a real treat!!!

A very unique concept! While perhaps not the most engaging, it fits the theme amazingly and is easy to understand and play. 7/10

The game is very good, yet very simple. My only problem is that the levels spike in difficulty, but the game does explain itself very very well, so great job!

A very cool idea, but the bullets should probably be slower and loop around in a way that can be predicted by the player so that because it is very difficult not to hit yourself, but also it adds strategy for when the player shoots.

Perhaps instead of the player having infinite bullets, they have a small amount of bullets and can only collect them after they go around the map a few times and slow down.

But besides that, this is a very cool idea that could be incorporated into a full game with a few tweaks.

I know right!

You mean the best of my games? If so… idk how to take that.

I got stuck in the computer screen.

Amazing niche movement shooter. With a little work, I can see this going on steam for anything from $5-$15 depending on how far it gets developed.

Thank you so much! I’ve long considered making a full release out of this game. What did you think were the main flaws of the game? I saw you encountered the infamous ‘falling through the floor’ glitch, but what else could improve the game in your opinion? And do you think ‘the architect’ should get a full release and what would that look like in your eyes? Also this game was made for the 2024 GMTK game jam. The video is titled 2004.

After looking at your channel, I think you would like my ongoing game Cronos Syndrome, which is currently in the prototype stage. If you want to check that out I have a discord related to it’s development: https://discord.gg/6vcBxS9tTM

Sorry for the long-winded reply, but this doesn’t happen to me too often.

Thank you! I appreciate that! I’ll be sure to check your game out.

I actually just used the same character controller I’ve used since the beginning!

Very creepy! I loved it. I was a potato with eyes! That wouldn’t do. So I did as TV man said and burned out my corneas.

Thank you. I’m considering making a post-jam version and this will be very helpful.

EXTERMLY DIFFICULT! but the art is super good, so I’ll give it a pass.

It is very hard! I would recommend adding an explanation for how to play in the game’s description.

Really grindy, which, with the low amount of actual gameplay, is a kind of a negative. Otherwise I really liked it!

Interesting idea. I think the game would work a lot better if it used a grid system rather then physics. Like Connect-Four meets Tetris.

Finally finished! Great game!

You can make small fixes during the rating period, you just can’t add new things.

The reverse-gravity mechanic didn’t work all the time and the low acceleration killed the tight platforming for me.

This happens all the time. It’s completely fine to have your game be similar to another jam game. Just watch any of GMTK’s videos for his jams. He names multiple games with the same idea or theme almost every time he speaks.

I started on day 3.

I’ve participated or at least rated in a few Brackeys game jams and I’ve never seen a solo-dev ranking.

You can’t get ratings until the game jam’s designated rating period begins after the submission period.

I don’t think it matters. You can only vote during the rating period so it’s probably better to submit early rather then late. Then you can get both feedback and as a precaution. You never know when you might not be able to submit later for whatever reason.

AI is a tool for assisting in your task. Using it as the worker basically means you just posted a game made by AI under your own name.

Idk about the jam but I’d love to talk on discord! I’m making a story based game and I’ve been eager to get into screen writing. @codmen4000
