Hello. I'm new to game jamming and I'm very excited to share my game. But I was halfway done with my game and I decided to see the screenshots and realized someone had the same idea as me and finished their game already. I didn't mean to copy anything. Although our games look the same that people would get confused. I didn't mean to copy anything. I hope we can settle this.

This happens all the time. It’s completely fine to have your game be similar to another jam game. Just watch any of GMTK’s videos for his jams. He names multiple games with the same idea or theme almost every time he speaks.
