Probably a good guess 😅

Probably not for a while going by Dr.Muramasa's latest update:
"the update is still actively in developement but is not yet ready for release with the desired standard. As explained before, to ensure the best quality experience is delivered we have chosen to not lock any specific time/date for the release and it will continue to be set as 2026."
Last time we had an update like this, it was about a month of work still to do. So pure guess would say late June/early July? All we can do is guess though. It depends on how far Kal is, when it is deemed done and if there any tweaks or additions that get added along the way..
Versions 1.9 and 2.0 will be released on the itch.io platform. Version 2.0 will include all the content from the Steam version; however, the Steam version will feature an exclusive side quest introducing a new character, as well as some brand-new outfits designed for the studio specifically for Anna.
My bad on the "There is a chance 1.9 becomes 2.0 at this rate." I had a long day and this did not come across the correct way after reading it. I just meant it as in if this was to happen, we would have to just go with it as an example.
But yeah our message is in sync, leave Kal alone and let him crack on 😅
So which slice you having first?

There is a chance 1.9 becomes 2.0 at this rate. But what ever happens, happens. Developers cannot do dates, and there should be no pressure on Kal in to rushing out the release. That is when we end up regressions that end up in more complaints than a long awaited release date.
There is already a precedent for Arvus Games creating endings people were not happy with in Roundscape, satisfying endings take time and we should just wait.
I am not criticising, I am just saying the community has chilled a little at the moment so now is not a good time yank up the pressure. with speculations.
Obviously if 1.9 drops tomorrow we are having a pizza party, though.
The "12 Aug, 2026" date has been set on Steam for over a week now. I like to be optimistic as much as anyone, but the original date was September 2025 lets not get giddy about this 😅
My main point is that there will be loads to clean up in 2.0 and find it hard to believe that it will hit Aug, 2026 on itch. Nevermind anything Valve takes issue with or just their general tendency to take donkeys years to review NSFW games.
Keep in mind a lot of the Starmaker CGs are manually edited by hand, and there has never been any insight into the actual workflow. So it is all guessing. When it comes to things like this we have no idea how much is controlled by LoRas, add-ons and configurations or how much is manually edited.
A quick fix would be to use something like ComfyUI-IC-Light (or the official IC-Light nodes, search “IC-Light ComfyUI” on GitHub or ComfyUI Manager)
Though personally I prefer to do all my lighting, levels and blur in Photoshop cause it gives much better control.
Dr.Muramasa has mentioned there will be no more teasers up until the release of 1.9 now, to avoid spoilers. All hints & WIP images can be found on the first post of Planned Features and Content/Guide & FAQ on the main page.
Next Update [1.9]
- Characters that will receive new content:
- Anna
- Dr. Frost and Dr. Mura
- Norah and Alice
- Expansion of Anna's love route to balance scenes with the slut route.
- Reworked Endings (There will be good, but also bad endings), as always shaped by the player's decisions.

Xelus327 might be working on a mod for Futa content after 2.0 is released, but no official feature will be added as it takes away from the narrative and intent of the game.
There are new clothing options for Anna in the Studio with every release. Unless you mean Anna's sprite clothing, mostly like more to come but will be limited to events.
1 -2) Dr.Muramasa has already stated there will be no more hints on what 1.9 brings, outside of that Anna, Dr. Frost, Dr. Mura, Norah and Alice will receive substantial content and every main character will at least get some good/bad ending content in 1.9
3) The current Starmaker Story will be complete after the Steam release (2.0 with an extra character, related quest and additional costumes for Anna in the Studio.) There will be no more new content after that. Our only hope is a Starmaker spinoff gets selected as the next project after a 6 months break.
My honest suggestion is do not, people critic photorealism images harshly. When quite honestly to produce an acceptable image to a say playboy quality takes untold hours of manual editing.
That being said the simplest method would be to install Stability Matrix and use the Juggernaut XL model with a tone of VAE, Configs, HiRes and Face Detailers to get the desired affect. Then be prepared to spend hours in Photoshop to get the expressions. lighting, colors, fading and dimensions correct...
Here is is a sample which took me 2 hours (I will not be doing this again) and it not even close to a throwaway image you would get in a bonus folder in a NSFW game

Maybe someone else can point you in the direction of some models and LoRas that would speed up the workflow... (I am very AI assist, not full Gen)
If we are picking buttholes, 1.8B was very nearly 1.9 if not for community backlash against the idea

But yeah letter versions are typically bugfix's with the odd small content drop in-between.
1.9 is taking longer than normal cause of the sheer amount of work it will take to make good and bad endings for every main character, then continuation of Alice's quest and the updated love route for Anna to make it on level with slut etc. Communication has been handled badly, there is no shying away from that, but hopefully lesson learned. Personally I would prefer to wait a little long so we do not end up in another broken/revamp save state again and a load of glitched quests.
As for Roundscape Eclipse, years have been burnt into it at this stage so I do not foresee a derailing in preference to Starmaker. But heck knows at this stage what comes after 2.0 and the break. There are sure to be thousands pushing for more Starmaker, but with these being Kal's personal projects he might choose to go down the path of a Arenus Remake or something completely different..
Roundscape Adorevia 6.9 Release, I think we have more chance of Half Life 3 at this point. If there is a definitive answer to this long held question, it might be a good idea for one of Arvus Games to post it on the Steam forums.
Not to mention, Kal normally likes to do a game jam around this time of year as well, so that might cause further delays if he is partaking.
Long story shot a little more community management would go a long way, and hopefully stop a lot of the Negative Nancies... though there is no pleasing some people so you can never win 😔
Context Dr.Muramasa is a mod, assistant to the developer and the writer of the game guide. This makes your request quite amusing 😅 The game is intended to be played multiple times taking different routes which results in different experiences and unlocking wildly different CGs. Would suggest another play through.
