Hey! Sorry for the late reply, I’ve really been busy as of late! I entered the jam you posted. And about Nanowrimo, they have a pretty... serious community from my experience. My little oddity of a book is looked upon with the utmost scrutiny there >_<. Although it’s fun to join in the word count, I don’t interact much with others there.

Sure! Honestly, I wanted to make it for books/comics only but knowing how it feels to be excluded, I'll allow anything as long as it's story oriented! Though hopefully one day, we'll get official Book Jams and not just 'Write a story... then put in a game', which kind of sucks for those like me who don't know the first thing about game-making.

Gintama was, is, and always will be a show that I can pick up at any time, watch any episode without any context and laugh my otherwise downtrodden heart out! Now that it’s over, I’ve been searching for a brand new show to take its place. However, nothing could ever compare to the first time that I heard those silly, idiotic jokes. So, in the spirit of Silver, An Old Pervert and The Funny Gorilla, I thought that I would begin my own story that will try its best to recapture the insanity of that manga in written form! Yes, it might be bad for now. Yes, it will never live up to whatever you hold in your own dear hearts, whether it be the same as mine or a completely different piece of art, I really wanted to give back the laughter that I had taken from Gintama and break it into endless pieces, should anyone need a bite.

P.S. While it is a Spiritual Successor, I do intend to write it as my own story and have it follow whichever direction I see fit. Do not expect any familiar last bosses to show up in the final act. I do not, I repeat, do NOT have that kind of budget. Although, if someone were to sponsor me....
