These are great, thanks! Also, Your constant content output is inspiring!

Ooh this is exciting! I will certainly be trying this out!

Ooh very nice 1K entry!

16/09: Added link to commented source. In the process of commenting I reclaimed some more bytes.

Indeed it is! Well spotted.

To support numbers >126, and thus inputs over 63, I would have to add a new bit to inputs register, the 26 bit.

I updated this entry:

13/09: Rewrote the plasma generation, it looks better and uses less bytes. Used the extra space for adding additional background effects. Changed the font for better contrast. The words are still the same.

This game looks great and is highly addictive, while poking good fun at the human condition. I love it!

Yay glad you like it, thanks for watching! 😎

Wow great entry in 1K! I enjoy those details, like the splitting rock shadows and your bullets angled in your direction. Impressive!

Hey pretty neat invaders minification! The "bullet hell" take on it makes for hard play. Also the player can move outside the screen bounds to evade enemy fire.

Hey, good concept and I like that cover art. The controls feel a bit awkward though, like they are in reverse, i.e. pressing the right arrow yaws to the left (relative to your forward motion).

Well done on your first Pico-8 entry. The characters look great, and there is a surprising amount of strategy in evading enemy attacks. Great work!

Nice asteroid shooter! Good job getting upgrades in too, very nice touch!

Fascinating! I will be playing with this and my sources to learn more about how the compression works :-)

Thanks!

I am glad you found the fireworks satisfying. They are the best part :-)

I tried to balance the unlimited ammo by making each base only fire one at a time, until its projectile explodes, then it can fire again. Then I discovered it is easier to play with one base than four, and tried to balance that aspect by awarding higher score for every undamaged base you have, so its in your interest to protect all of them. In the end there is only so much one can do given the 1K constraint 🤯

Thanks for playing!

Thanks!

I tried to learn and implement  proper fading effects, but it went over my head, and beyond the byte limit, so I settled for a simple circle filling method. I am happy how it turned out.

I love me a good roguelike. This is a nice throwback and it looks great for a 1K game!

I do feel like your chance of success is luck-based, mostly because your HP does not regenerate over time. This makes it difficult to rest up before taking on that last enemy and advance to the next level.

Then again, this is a 1K compo, and this is a lovely homage to a timeless game. Excellent!

A solid entry. The falling earth effect I did not expect, excellent!

This is a great frogger clone, it looks really good given the limitations you worked under. I am admittedly not very good at reflex-based games, but I certainly appreciate the choice of game and how you presented it. Good entry!

It is so colorful, and water effect looks super. Really beautifully done!

What a fun and engaging game. The motion of the segments, especially when back-tracking, is superb. Love it.

You captured a barren landscape full of subtle detail. Great entry!

Edit: The commented source is a fantastic addition. It makes me guilty for not commenting mine 😅

I could hear the music from world 1-1 playing in my mind's ear as I ran through the level. I can't believe how good it looks. Great job!

Nicely done! love that fire scene 🔥

Nice list of bug fixes you added. The HD version looks great so far! I would be keen to play it too.

Bravo on your submission, it is great fun and ticks all the boxes!

I enjoyed playing this, the artwork is really cute, there is a good balance of combat and puzzles, and the in-game hints when you start is a nice touch. Well done!

This is a fun puzzle game, and having a computer opponent is a nice addition, I like it a lot!

This game is hard to master yet addictive. Good entry!

This is a fun exploratory game, I found it relaxing.  There is attention to detail with the music and underground environment, a solid entry all round. Congrats!

Quite a creative use of the viewport, and thanks for supporting the fallback method. The directional sound of the Minotaur is a nice touch too. Great stuff!

I like how the colours limit which clone can interact with the environment, the artwork is tidy and fluid, the close-up dialogue adds a nice touch. Good work!

What a LÖVEly entry, the artwork and music is great and gameplay is fun, good work on the sequences in between challenges. I did have a hard time with the Joker, which remains unbeaten.

Edit - Ok I just figured out you need to press the keys in the order presented. For some reason I thought the pop-up keys represented which of the characters the joker will attack, and you had to guess which of the three it was.

Nicely done!

The recoil mechanic is a fun way to move around, the reload animation is nicely done too. And it is nice to see some LÖVE games represented too. Well done!

What a lovely game, I enjoyed every bit of it!

The artwork has emotion, the music is great and a nice touch how it speeds up over time. Gameplay is difficult, with one win out of six attempts, this game provides ample challenge while being a joy to play. Great work!

Not sure what I just played, all I know is that it is twisted and makes one question reality. I like!

This game is both Silly and Fun. I feel that your pixel art suffers from the blurry canvas aliasing, and arrow-key movement would have been a nice alternative to wsad. Good entry either way!

This is a fun game with a low  learning curve, the artwork is simple and effective. Some diagonal movement would have been a nice addition. Good entry!

This game is a joy to play, the artwork is clean and cute, sound and music suit the game perfectly. Great entry!
