Dalang - Campaign Dashboard

A desktop app for prepping and running D&D campaigns. Locations, NPCs, quests, and lore all linked together, plus a live session mode with a battle map, fog of war, and initiative tracker. Built-in 5e SRD compendium so you're not alt-tabbing mid-combat.

Runs fully locally, no account or cloud required. Free, pay what you want.

Hey everyone!

I'm BukanPawkemon, from Indonesia. I've been DMing for a while now, currently running a Dragon of Icespire Peak campaign async over Telegram with friends scattered across time zones.

That async setup is actually what got me into making things instead of just playing them. Spreadsheets and scattered notes couldn't keep up, so I started building my own tool to hold it all, locations, NPCs, quests, eventually a live session mode with a battle map and fog of war. That turned into Dalang - Campaign Dashboard, which I just put up here on itch, free and pay what you want.

This is the first app I've actually finished and shipped, so still very much learning as I go. Glad to be here, looking forward to seeing what everyone else is working on.

Dalang - Campaign Dashboard, a local-first D&D campaign manager

https://bukanpawkemon.itch.io/dalang-campaign-dashboard

Hey everyone! I run a D&D campaign myself and got tired of juggling docs, spreadsheets, and browser tabs to keep track of it, so I built Dalang.

It's a desktop app for prepping and running D&D campaigns, works whether you're at a real table, on a call, or running things async. Locations, NPCs, quests, and treasure all linked together, a live session mode with a battle map and fog of war for when you're playing in real time, a built-in 5e SRD compendium so you're not alt-tabbing mid-combat, and a permanent event log for what actually happened at the table.

Prep Locations with nested sub-locations, NPCs, quests, and treasure, all linked together so nothing gets lost in a doc somewhere.

Multiple Campaigns Manage more than one table at once. Every campaign gets its own self-contained set of locations, NPCs, and quests, so a one-shot and your main campaign never end up tangled together.

Reference A built-in 5e SRD compendium for spells, monsters, and items. Add your own homebrew too, and it works everywhere official content does.

Run A live session mode with a battle map, fog of war, and initiative tracker for when you're playing in real time, plus a separate player-facing window you can put on a second monitor or share on a call without exposing your DM notes.

It's free / pay what you want right now. Would love feedback from other DMs.
