Thanks! Unfortunately I have had troubles getting the CRT-effect working on the web build. Maybe someday I will solve this mystery and get it working :D

Thanks for playing! I was aiming to have a slight air of "mystery" at the start and hoping that the actual gameplay comes out clear fairly quick without any instructions. Just to get some enjoyment of discovery when playing for the first time.

I hope it worked and was not too frustrating on the first try :)

Pleasently horrifying experience :) Good match with the music to build the atmosphere and loved the humor bits. Enjoyed the ride and a deserved plus for the picture of Trent!

Thanks for playing and giving the feedback, really appreciated and happy that you liked it :)

Great and interesting start for the game! Would be interesting to see what else you had planned for this! I would definitely give it another go :)

Really cool submission! Enjoyed this one :)

Nice visuals and good timing with the left lane rhythm. I had to concentrate to the left, so any meaningful control was impossible for me on the right lane. But that didn't stop the fun! :)

Bonus points to the small touch on the damped music outside the bowling hall!

Thanks for playing, really appreciated!

I tried to keep things simple, but cutting some corners, I am sure that my programming is not the most efficient approach on this one :D I will have to keep my eye on this point in the future! Thanks :)

Cool relaxing game!

The visual style of gameplay would be like in the clip. For the card art, I am hoping the collaborator would have a vision to suggest something that would suit/complement the overall picture. We could the keep this style consistent through the later development.

I am open to discuss different options. Paid work is not outside the realm of possibilities.

Hi!

I'm working on a deck builder featuring robot tournaments. I'm getting close to getting out a prototype to test out the basic mechanics. Looking for someone to help out with the card illustrations for the prototype, and hopefully to continue support as the development continues forward from the prototype.

Here's a clip of the current state to demonstrate the overall style of the game. If you are feeling inspired, please reach out and let's have a chat!

Thanks!

Great work! Love the slick style. Very smooth experience!

Hi!

After you have finished your project, it would be great to hear how it went. Your ideas sound great!

In addition to those, audio might be good area to explore. Recording sound effects for the game could be really fun.

Nice work! Enjoyed the story and appreciate the multiple endings. You managed to squeeze in quite a lot in the limited time. Puzzles, story, combat, upgrades and multiple levels. Nice!

Great work! Loved the funny story and the game mechanics were really good. All levels presented new fresh ideas and left me wanting more! Thats a good thing :) Thank the King!

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

Cheers! Thanks for playing :)

Cool idea! I liked the innovative enemies :) There could be some kind of leveling of enemies to make progression feel a bit more meaningful?

Really great retro feel! Enjoyed the trip :) The system and gameplay feels food, maybe just needs some tuning on the difficulty ramping. Perhaps a bit more enemies on  the screen at once to get those dangerous situations and chance for amazing recoveries ;)

Nice one! Liked the art style here. Good presentation and the sticky notes as cards was pretty clever :) I would have maybe hoped some more interactivity from the opponent. That could make the game feel a bit more dynamic?

Great start! I liked the game idea and how the story was driven. Good prototype to build upon. Refine fighting mechanics, create different enemies and maybe some surprises thrown in there :)

The funny setting was right up my alley :D Great stuff! Always a fan of simple controls and mechanics, and it worked well here. That said, I could not figure out the dodge? I enjoyed the ride all the way to the ending, and the game kept me in its holds. Special plus for the sounds!

(1 edit)

Really good! Once getting the hang of this it was really rewarding. I completely agree with the other comments on getting this game into the educational space.

Fun game! Liked the curvature. Nicely implemented! For further refinement, maybe more speed variations would be fun? Longer nitrous? A retry button would be nice to get right back into action :)

Fun game! The ending was a surprise indeed!

Great style! The player looks really nice and I love how he enters the level :) Bosses that I managed to see looked really cool too. Liked the idea of the specialization and the choosing of path was nice. Was there any downside into always going into reward?

Cool idea with weapon magnetism! I managed to create real monster :D Game felt a bit difficult, at least when starting to try it out. Maybe the player could resist some damage or the bullets could use some additional visualization to be able to avoid better?

Excellent work! Gamepad controls working like a charm. The dualstick approach to moving and morphing was executed really well. Music changing when you are at low health definitely earns a plus!

I was planning to comment that the "slits" were impossible to dodge on the latter half of the game. But now, writing this comment, I see the gif on the left hand side showing how the virus morphs to align with slit to dodge it. So I won't comment that. I will instead run the game again!

Thanks! I tried to play a bit on the idea that you are also an outsider in the host system. So you will accidentally cause unintentional damage and also be attacked by the host's immune system even though you are "friendly" :)

Cheers! Thanks for playing :)

Thanks! Nice to hear the slurping worked :D First time I have made my own sound effects and had a blast recording them. Great learning experience :)

Cheers! There would certainly be a lot of possibilities to work on and push this further. After a short breather, I just might return to this one :)

Great idea! Great feeling to try to survive while figuring out the weapon UIs. Fun stuff!

Great fun! Loved the simplicity of the controls and smooth everything works.

Funky main character and a matching background track! Enjoyed my time with this one. Nice work!

Nice work! Really liked the system that your ammo-chunks also protect you. So you also lose "shields" when attacking.

Great work! Unique approach and great atmosphere. Top notch art!

Thanks! Glad you liked it! The third person view could use some tuning indeed. Started to have quite limited time to work on that :)

Not less than 10 seconds, but it is a start!

This reminded me on an interesting youtube video on Inscryption. I linked it below.  The art style is discussed starting around 7 min. Not maybe the practical instruction that you might be looking for, but hopefully gives some inspiration :)
