Hey thanks for checking out my game! It really means a lot to me you liked the music and I’m happy I was able to introduce you to rhythm games! Also nice job on making it to 211 :D

You totally should join it’s a lot of fun! It’s really more of an honor-code kinda system. Pretty much, I just looked at my starting time and when I took a break I’d figure out how much time I used up and add that to my total time. Once I started to get close to the 3 hour mark that’s when I built the game and submitted the project.
Ah yea that’s something to do with the way I implemented the grid snap. It’s actually ever so slightly off (like less than 1/16th of a pixel in some cases), so I have a slight hump on the edges of the platforms to try to “fix it,” but then this happens lmao.
Glad you liked playing it and thanks for your complements!
This was a really cool take on the idea of multiple realities and copied inputs! It was a little tricky trying to figure out what’s going on in the alternate reality since you have to clear the first world first to see the second for a split second. I think having something like a “4D View” button or something like that to get a snapshot of the other world would be pretty great, even if it just showed you the initial state of the world before any inputs are made. You could potentially add in even more realities on top of the normal 2 to make some really wacky puzzles (although the 7 by themselves was still a very enjoyable experience!) Very fun game!
This game was so cute from the music to the character designs! I really loved the obedience mechanic and I think it could really be expanded further like having the trainer give you healing items (or a different item that ends up hindering you inadvertently) like in Pokemon if you manage to stay in the green.
I love the exchange with the Paladin in the beginning so much! The overflowing text makes it so much better and really reminds me of the Navy Seal copypasta. I also really dig the music and the sprite work is awesome! Only managed to get past the first encounter but I really loved the character dynamics!
I really liked the mechanic where each of the abilities had to be recharged by attacking enemies, forcing you to not rely on any one character and having to keep changing up the playstyle. If you wanted to keep with the card kinda aesthetic, adding in something like Wild Card mode or smth like that where the game would force-swap you to a different class, or potentially even having that as the mechanic for the Swap’O Mancer, would be pretty cool I think. Solid game!
This was a little too big brain for me but in the best ways possible! Took me a second to understand grayed out tiles, but it was really fun when I almost managed a T-Spin! I think it would be really cool if you could add in something like a ghost mode for new players that would show where a tile would land when hovered over, or even an endless inventory mode with faster countdown speeds.
Glad you liked it and that’s a great idea! I actually had some plans for adding something like that, like a short conversation between you and your boss where he would give you a promotion or smth since ur the only one left, then leading into a tutorial on placing a removing objects, but then I saw the time lmao.
To anyone reading this try the Windows build and turn the graphics down in the settings it worked so much better. This was a great game that really reminded me of Tunic if you’ve ever played that before. It was a little bit on the harder side and when I discovered the secret mechanics I thought I big brained the game. And then the event happened. Gameplay was fluid once I got the hand of it and the ending had a good twist!
Hey thanks for playing the game and I’m glad you enjoyed the song! If I ever come back to this game post-jam those are some great ideas. I thought about designing some kind of field of grass or something else given the limited color pallet as a backdrop so I could put in some kind of line (lawn lines or dirt patches maybe?). I also love that idea about the screen shake with the red, might try to even use something like jsfxr to really emphasize the damage. Good luck to you as well! (btw I love your pingu icon)
Hey this was a fun little game! It was a little hard at first and took me around the third run to figure out about the sword mechanic, but it was cool discovering each of the different elemental powers! It was a little hard trying to figure out where I was gonna land at certain points (like the mountain water is in), but it was a great experience.
