Excellent, thanks for providing a video as well, Text Based Adventure games are few and far between so I am glad that you chose the genre. The music is great and really helps to set the mood. Great job breaking into the horror scene, your execution is flawless and I feel could make for  a great full game. Thanks again for participating and best of luck with the rating process.

Hello! Thank you for submitting to the jam, I downloaded your project and booted it but could not get any interactions to work, so lets go over what I could see. I love that you included an on screen keyboard, that alone gets you some technical implementation points, the music is nice and not too loud or low, and the interface is laid out in a way that is easy on the eyes and intuitive. I would have loved to play through your story a bit but as I mentioned before, I was unable to get any inputs to register. I tried typing in lower case, upper case, and via the on screen keyboard , but could not progress. After the jam is over and your project is editable again, if you would like to re-upload your game ill give it a playthrough, it wont help your jam rating any but id be happy to give feedback.

honestly i got to like the second or third layer of the Second level and the backwards controls down at the arrow keys really threw me for a loop haha

I Love that you implemented the theme literally. The art music and sfx are all spot on and make for a playful experience. I will admit I was confused as to what to do (I knew I needed to hang a picture, but was unsure of the process to get there) after a couple minutes of playing around I did eventually figure it out and I think I met the win condition? the game didn't load past the cracking a cold one scene. Overall i feel that this was a strong submission and enjoyed playing it.

As someone who typically doesn't care for platformers I have to say that this was indeed a platformer haha. Great job with the project though, it feels smooth and responsive, and I specifically like that your choice of music helps to convey a sense of urgency to the player (just in case they don't see the giant spike wall). I absolutely suck at platformers, I am un-coordinated and was unable to finish your game, but what I did play was great, the art looks good, it feels good, the music sounds good, and overall I would say its a solid jam entry!

As I have said before, I personally am glad you took the theme literally, overall the game is fun and engaging, the theme is well implemented and the art is great as usual. I did notice that the player sprite doesn't flip on direction change but that's just a small detail. Great job working with what little time you had. P.S. Mages are the meta, they allowed me to basically sit back and watch as my war was won for me.

I repeat DO NOT RATE this submission haha.

Thanks for playing and taking time to leave a comment. In an age where game development is becoming a more common hobby or interest it is hard to have an original game idea, For that reason I chose to go back to some of the earliest days of gaming, and is ultimately why I decided to put my spin on the classic games that have stood the test of time. Thanks also for noticing my efforts to bring the player back to those golden days, I did as much as I could to recreate the nostalgia of the 80's and 90's.

Nice work, Art and sound design is great for this type of game, my one suggestion would be to add the ability to skip through the typing effect of the dialogues for people who read faster than it types.

Nice puzzle game, It makes you really think about the series of events that  need to happen in order to succeed, very well executed project with nice sound design and a very nice aesthetic. Great Job!

Very Fun game, I really enjoyed playing this game though I felt it was a bit easy, the bullet moves slow enough that once you shoot you can easily maintain control and move around the room freely. Maybe the bullet could move faster  or even have a limit to the amount of adjustments that can be made to the bullets angle adding in a new layer of difficulty.

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback, I have plans to continue development on this project and one of the changes will be that asteroids will no longer track to the player and will be optional enemies for score purposes only.

I completely understand, I am a dealership mechanic so I work a 40-60 hour work week, and come home to two kids so I get it haha

I like the game and see the potential, I have to admit, I saw this project submitted early and somewhat watched it to see what changes would be made since the games we made are somewhat similar in nature. I feel that the art and atmosphere is what really draws the player to the game. (my own opinion) and I did not see a lot of change in that area, regardless I had fun with it and I think a lot of others will too, Good Job!

Thank you for playing and leaving some awesome categorized feedback, as far as the asteroids chasing you, that is a slight oversight on my part, when SDM started so did Mini Jame Gam and their theme was "Don't get surrounded" I just never took that mechanic out yet haha. In the future I will have them running stray paths and they will be optional "enemies". I'm glad you enjoyed the game and again Thanks for playing it and leaving feedback!

Thank you for playing and leaving a comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Now this is a unique spin on pinball, I was actually talking with some friends a week or so ago about how its been a while since I saw a new pinball game come out and you delivered. The ability to map my own controls without digging through menus is a very nice touch. The game was refreshing to play and a bit challenging too! Great Work!

Nice hack and slash wave survival game, if feels good,  the effects are visually pleasing, sounds are nice, and the concept is there and solid. I would have liked to have a little more feedback when I am hit though, maybe a little screen shake or a red glow around the screen border for example. One other thing I noticed was that the abilities didn't seem to trigger if WASD keys were being held, could just be me though. Great job with the project and best of luck!

Firstly, Excellent work for one month, I love love love the aesthetic and the music fits the vibe perfectly, I typically don't play puzzle games but since you left a comment on my game I tried it out and I'm glad I did, i honestly had a ton of fun with it. Great Work!

Nice shooter! It's not the type of game I typically play but I did enjoy playing through it. You have a nice variety of enemy attacks and the game looks good overall. Two points id like to make though, as NeatGames mentioned, holding right click the entire time does get a bit tiresome, maybe the gun could always aim towards the mouse cursors global position eliminating the need to aim all together, unless that is a mechanic which you designed for a purpose, in which case do nothing about it. Additionally, I felt that there were a few areas that were empty aside from props, these locations could use some enemies for more constant action. All in All very nice work!

Fun little SHMUP, I like the simplistic art style and soundscape, you are 100% correct in saying that it is chaotic because it for sure gets to be that way. Great job and Best of Luck!

Wow this game is cool, I love the atmosphere you have built with the lighting and soundscapes, the game feels good to play, the only thing that was a little weird to me is the scale of the player character, it feels slightly too tall, though I only really notice this when passing through doorways so it's not such a big deal. Great job with this project!

Nice Scratch project, We made very similar games so I can truly appreciate the work that goes into these types of projects. I feel that the game is missing a leaderboard though. It is only my personal opinion but I feel like the competitiveness of chasing the high score would add a ton of replay value to this project. Great job on this project and if you have time I encourage you to check out my entry as well!  Best of Luck!

Was looking forward to checking this out as the concept reminds me of an  Etch-A-Sketch, unfortunately, when I run the game I am presented with only a black screen in which control input does nothing. I downloaded this through the itch app in sandbox mode so I'm unsure if this is an issue that is only present on my end, I'll continue checking back occasionally throughout the rating period in attempt to play this game but just wanted to make you aware in case this is a common issue that people run into.

EDIT: I even installed the latest release of python thinking that may have cause the issue but it it made no change.

Fun little clicker game, I wish I had control over the audio levels in the game as it was a bit loud and jarring when you first open the game, otherwise its pretty solid! Thanks for making the game for us to try out!

Talk about polish, this game honestly feels commercial release ready. The soundscapes are nice, the art looks good, the controls are well laid out and feel good. The game as a whole is fun to play and feels smooth, great work!

Fun twist on a game we all know and have played at least once in life, the filters are nice and the music is golden, Great Work!

Interesting twist adding the bit of educational value to a platformer, the boss level was by far the most fun to play. Not bad!

Super cool game, i love the concept and the music is funky, overall the game is a vibe!

Thank you for playing the game, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! i plan to add a ton more to this game and submit it at the end of the month to the SoloDev Marathon Jam, follow the project if you would like to check it out again after the update.

Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! I have turned into a complete madman with shaders lately and am honestly surprised by what all can be done with them, I stumbled across the background shader on godotshaders and it was too good to pass up for this project!.

Thanks for your feedback and Thanks for playing! I played your game as well and had a blast with it.

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback, I will implement more of a cooldown between the single fire shots to slow the fire-rate down a bit as per your suggestion!

Thank you for your feedback, I plan to implement an in-game visual representation of each control to better explain the mechanics to the player. Thanks for playing!
