Played it in normal, Ill be a bit harsh on the gameplay loop/fun. I think it was too repetitive, long hallways with the same three enemies on all levels, a big worry that I have is that this game is just another doomlike to the pile without anything interesting to make it stand out.
Fighting the enemies isnt an issue either since all you have to do is keep moving and its really hard for you to get hit
I don't know what makes a doom-like be a fun game nowadays but I encourage you to investigate and try to implement changes into the core gameplay loop before you continue expanding.
Notes:
- The map is a bit confusing to follow and you cant interact with it, my character started to shoot as I clicked on it.
- Weapon animations forbid weapon change which can be pretty annoying, I tried to swap fast inbetween different weapons and it didnt let me.
- There's a lack of shooting feedback, it wasn't really clear at first that shooting the shields wasnt dealing damage, maybe some spark effect or dust dunno.
- I had to skip a level with debug tools because it was telling me to kill a hacker and I had no idea what that meant, I did kill all enemies and left alive the guys without weapons because they seemed like chill dudes who didnt want no trouble.
I got stuck in this level "longer than four hours", the elevator on the left side of the screenshot didnt work and I couldnt find any button to activate it

At first the fights were a bit boring since they were all samey after I learned the grasp and idea on how I'm meant to play but they picked up near the end, in fact I almost lost but the blue haired girl ended up having a oneshot skill that saved me.
I wasn't able to figure out which stance to take since the attack animations were too fast for my reaction speed, it seemed like I was meant to learn a pattern. If there is a pattern Id suggest changing the enemies looks to differentiate the block combos.
I think I didn't use all fight mechanics as they were both needed and the game also finished fairly fast, I didnt use any item or understood the parry mechanic beyond standing still or ducking, but I was swapping to the second character while the enemy was flying. Notes: -At the main menu you're asked to press any button and I was a bit stumped because I'm in keyboard and mousee without knowing I was meant to hit specific keys
-City movement maybe feels too fast, although im not sure about it, its just a thought
-At one point an enemy lost all its hp and I swapped to the blue haired girl as a combo, she didnt do any action but still lost the turn, I would have preferred that the game checks for this and lets me play her turn, although its a fair punishment maybe, up to you.
-I had a crash I couldn't reproduce, I think it was when an enemy was following me to start a fight, see screenshot for the pop-up log

first time playing, I ended up doing most of the fish level, might come back to do the rest later.
Played with keyboard and mouse and I struggled a lot with the swimming, as I was pressing W to enter a water bubble my character would end up instantly looking down and also the dive button seems to disable each time you go out of water so you can't hold water while you do small jumps out and in
Also when diving upwards I have to press S, and once my character leaves the water it instantly looks backwards, which is the complete opposite of what I want since I need to jump towards where I was diving to.
it took me quite a while to understand the attacks and how they change depending if you have the water charge
I managed to get myself stuck at one point: I went inside this place and I think I died and instead of respawning at the respawn point I appeared at the start, so I jumped on the balls to get across and I suddenly spawned super high up with no way of moving, unsure if I was falling

First time player, lots of fun, it caught me in and i played it full and did the bonus levels.
its super cute, the different tiny interactions and expressions that they have depending on whats going going on in the game makes it great
I was expecting some sort of face expression when falling or being eaten
Using the keyboard felt a bit weird at the start, have you thought on making right click and left click replace or work at the same time for character swap and action?
I played it twice, it wasn't able to catch me. I think the pacing is slow, it took me a lot of running around to finally find combat which felt underwhelming, the only first enemies that I thought were fun and interesting were the tripod dudes who were shooting back.
I really like the theme and aesthetics, it seems beautifully crafted
Is it possible that the music feels a bit repetitive? After 30mins it seemed like I was listening to the same thing each couple seconds, although I really liked it at first, it fit the theme really well.
As a side note, I'm worried that this game seems to be made for the sega genesis and won't be able to find an audience, but that's just a worry and not a prediction.
let me know if you think I didnt give the game a fair chance and I should play further, I felt like I wanted to move on to other games
At first I thought it was kind of a boring idler but when i turned difficulty to max it became more interesting. I had issues using the movement modules, couldnt get the weapons to move how I wanted (for example starting sword in a circular motion)
The module linking seemed more interesting before playing the game, it felt a bit underwhelming when playing
Overall its kinda fun, I'm interested to see more, also grimoire is op
Played the demo on steam a couple days ago, seemed slow at the start but then I picked up the pace and seemed way cooler, I noticed that having autoshoot on is quite important specially for the handguns
The game was fun, fast and crazy, it felt the same way as it promised from videos and stuff.
I wasnt sure how to get more time, if they respawn I wasnt sure how or where.
The gravity feature is quite cool, but I ended up always following the same route because I knew it worked well to group up the enemies and get more kills. I didn't have time to explore
Felt a bit short or feature lacking, although maybe that's a good thing for steam
I played the steam demo with keyboard and mouse, it was quite frustrating as someone who never played any dark souls or games alike and im currenlty stuck at Nia, almost cheesed her out with the sword hold stance
The spells were given to me without much clarity of what they are, what they're for and how to use them, I still have no clue much about most of them, sometimes when i try one they dont seem to do anything so i'm not understanding their role, their descriptions aren't clear enough.
Lynette fight seemed bugged because it was easy and boring, are the shields meant to be recasted instantly? I just spent the entire fight right clicking deflecting
The dialogues are quite bad, they go fast and you're unsure who's talking.
note: the game soft locked here at the boss select area, I could move the camera but not leave the position:
I liked the controls from your own plane, but I didn't feel like I had a lot of freedom since I was always escaping from the helicopters that chase you like bees, so I just ended up escaping and turning around to blast a few and then continue escaping, that ended up being my entire playthrough during all stages.
I didn't understand the loot window at first, so a few times I went to the next stage without any upgrades, although I have no idea what they do besides the firing rate one
Played the first level and the rest didnt unlock, is it because they're not part of the demo?
I'm not sure how to give feedback, I believe I'm understanding what the game is trying to do but I still feel like its missing something in the core gameplay, although I'm not sure what, maybe the combat felt a bit bland. For my gameplay I was mostly straffing in a circular motion around the enemies to avoid gettting hit and waiting for them to die
had a rough start and they were beating me 3-0 but I managed to tie them and in the last ten seconds there were many close calls but my girls couldnt score the winning shot, ended up on a tie
Okay so now a bit of feedback, I feel like I'm doing a lot of watching and not playing, having to wait for each animation to play, also I found awkward how the game goes from animation to actual gameplay, I wouldnt know for sure how to move and that seemed important since the characters move quite fast and a fraction of a second can be the difference of two characters entering in their stop range
After playing a full match I have no idea what the stats really do, just some vague idea of what to press based on colors.
It seemed easy to trick the AI to move how I wanted when attacking, I was able to get an easy free pass inside the goalkeep area into a shot, the other's team movement were predictable
Well, it works, the minigame isnt fun but it doesnt feel like a finished core where you expand from so I dont want to put a heavy opinion about it.
I guess you already noticed that the rotation of the character is off and after moving enough you can get the character model with an offset from the middle point
I'm not entirely sure, maybe it was too slow? too simple? Id use hotline miami as an example that I know, but that game has fast-paced combat which might not be what you're looking for, so I can only suggest to look for similar games and try to review what they're doing different in gameplay. Similar games that didnt release 30 years ago though
Played the full demo, since it was short I'll try to focus only in combat core mechanic.
Overall I think the combat wasn't interesting, even as I lost a couple times, melee for the most part was bad unless I used it in corners so i tried to shoot enemies whenever I could, and the gun mechanic was kinda boring
About resources, having to manage bullets loaded and health was ok, I had to take some decisions based on it, meanwhile sprint was just a bar that I depleted trying to run from place to place as i defeated new enemies.
The boss seemed to bug out being unable to attack me
I'm not sure what can I say that others have said as feedback so I'll just say my experience.
I started the game and after picking up different items I just guessed they were all props and just did combat only, at first I was cheesing with a door getting the enemies stuck and eventually I started doing more proper combat as I felt more comfortable with attack timers and enemy behavior. I'm not a souls player so I'm not sure if I should comment, it felt a bit clunky but maybe that's intended since the enemies are clunky too.
After a bit all enemies were dead but one that didnt have an hp bar who didnt attack me, I thought it was some friendly or bugged npc. Eventually I opened a door that lead to nowhere and fell off the world, by this point I took a guess that the game didnt have much else to offer, I hope this wans't incorrect.
Got a bit stuck at the start until I pressed all keys while standing in front of the door hoping to find the interaction key, which I did, but it also activated the skip mode (actually, spammed the toggle on each frame) Edit: I found that enter also works as an interaction, not only Z
The death game theme is good i got hooked in and wanted to know more, but I got bored out of my mind waiting for the game to start as I went through the prologue, it felt like an eternity as I wasnt sure when I was going to be allowed to play the game.
After that the game opened a bit too much and I found myself in a 5 story building with tons of rooms and no clear indication of what to do, I even found my own character.
Clearing airvents doesnt seem to work, I also gifted two items to one of the characters and it would still refuse to talk to me so I stopped trying that. I liked to put the camera behind the character instead of having it up above, but it would reset every time i changed a scene and I was also able to see characters that seemed to be hidden away on a roof.
The text spam during the influence game is kinda rough with all the influence points and who vs who, if I spam enter to see the table I might just skip it by mistake, the game wasn't interesting either, everyone voted sabotage two days in a row.
I dropped the game after like two hours because I want to try other games, but I still felt like I wasnt able to play the game as it was intended
camera control is great, at first I thought middle mouse felt off but that went away fast, I think you nailed that
first mission is super rough, you spawn with a lot of varied units with different mechanics, speed, different ammunition types and capacity, scouting, hiding and at the same time you're in a hurry before the defeat screen shows up
I really dig this game but let me learn it a tiny bit slower, dont hand hold me but dont throw me everything at once
small note, Id love for speed to be in better keybinds
notes:
there's a weird bug where when you start a new game you can continue the text until you alttab back
the menus are too white and give me headaches, specially in the tutorial when you're asked to open it several times
when restarting a game the time of the day doesnt reset
there's no savegame after leaving the laundry robot, I had to do the tutorial three times as I lost to a camera (which is fine since its just teaching me how to lose) and another time i fell through the ground
dunno it was a struggle to get to the actual game
mid-play my screen got covered with a "logging in" pop up, i logged as a guest and thee game restarted, a bit annoying
im not into simple/phone games so I cant suggest anything related to mechanics, it seemed to work, maybe some hitboxes didnt match the sprites so I had a suitcase a few pixels inside another and it didnt merge
