I played it twice, it wasn't able to catch me. I think the pacing is slow, it took me a lot of running around to finally find combat which felt underwhelming, the only first enemies that I thought were fun and interesting were the tripod dudes who were shooting back.

I really like the theme and aesthetics, it seems beautifully crafted

Is it possible that the music feels a bit repetitive? After 30mins it seemed like I was listening to the same thing each couple seconds, although I really liked it at first, it fit the theme really well.

As a side note, I'm worried that this game seems to be made for the sega genesis and won't be able to find an audience, but that's just a worry and not a prediction.

let me know if you think I didnt give the game a fair chance and I should play further, I felt like I wanted to move on to other games

I think that's a perfectly fair critique, it's the first area of the game so i didn't want to go super hard on the enemies or combat just yet, but I could see it being a little boring. The pacing at the game's intro is for sure not quite there yet, lots of walking through empty rooms. Needs adjustment

I think the game will get significantly more fun deeper into it once more movement tech gets unlocked and you're more free to explore, but balancing things out for the starting region to be fun is definitely super important, first  impressions really matter

thank you for playing
