Yeah, I knew it would be tough for many people, so I didn't even bother making a fail state. Seems like you enjoyed it though :3

I used to make a lot of Geometry Dash levels and even got some featured/epic rated ones, so that makes sense. GD and JSaB were both inspirations. Glad you enjoyed!

so true

Ma Fall

Absolut episch. Sehr polished. Gutes Konzept und gut umgesetzt. Zeit hatte perfekt gepasst

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. I'm glad you enjoyed it :3

Thanks for playing!

Not sure if I agree with the music. As someone else said, I was going for more of an "epic journey" kinda feel, but I can still see where you're coming from.

I mean the idea of planting your own enemies and more difficult enemies giving more coins. Risk vs reward. Pretty solid mechanic

I have played all of your jam games since your first game jam and I must say that this game shows your visual style and game creation ability at their (current) peak!

The game looks really clean and the minigames are quite fun (the fact that there even are minigames as well as the platforming is already impressive).

Good job! <3

Honestly, incredible! Beautiful art and quite unique theming as well as a somewhat novel game mechanic (I say somewhat, because I actually made a game with this mechanic in the Spring 2D Jam 2022, which was also just taken from somewhere else lol).

Still very much a 5/5 star entry. Has a good chance of winning. Great job! <3

Nevermind, you did declare it, but on the game page instead of on this one. Still, it's the same tileset pack.

Not to sound rude or toxic or anything, but this looks, feels, and sounds just like the game you two made last year and won the jam with. You even reused the retry button and the grass texture (without declaring it, might I add). How unfortunate...

My highscore will stay at the top FOREVER, MUHAHAHA

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing! <3

I'm glad you enjoyed my game!

Selling favourites will double their effectiveness while disliked plants will halve it. Maybe a better scoring system could add some more incentive.

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing <3

Yeah, a victory or failure screen would be nice. Too bad that's an additional scene I would have to create and add animations for and I was low on time and sanity.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed!

That's precisely why it's an underwater theme! Game feel was my main priority this time around. Sfx helped a lot.

Didn't consider different speaker systems. Will add a slider to the main menu next time.

Thanks for the review!

I'm surprised the red algae was the hardest for so many people. It allowed one mistake per pattern but I made a mistake so it's somewhat rare to happen.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you!

The delay might be a problem with WebGL having worse performance as it runs great on my machine. Will add a delay slider next time!

The delay is unfortunate. Might be a problem with WebGL in the browser version. The leniency is up to the max (with the exception of the red algae).

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah as it says on the game page, the sound breaking up and the audio delay is because of FMOD. It works perfectly fine in the download version. Thanks for the feedback

WHERE IS THE THIRD EGG!??!?! HUHHHHHH

Beep Boop Beep Boop (This game has a beautifully eerie and unsettling atmosphere and great use of colors)

Beep Beep  Boop Beep Boop Boop (Some not too complex platforming makes for a great foundation to tell a quick story. Nicely done)

Watch my Devlog for this game here!

Found a bug! The coin counter required for levels and the coin counter used for buying in shops are the same and don't reset after the shop. Meaning if you get all coins on the first level and don't spend any, you will automatically win every level after that

Very unique concept and great execution!

Unfortunately without a tutorial, but not too difficult to learn. It was very fun yet strategic to figure out the best solutions for problems that you yourself create. The music was very calming. I did find one bug (Details in my other post) and also lost to RNG in the second level (Started with three water buckets). Wasn't annoying though because you can easily restart each level, which fits the tone very well. The art is super clean and cutely drawn, although the background gives it a bit more of a darker tone which I'm not quite sure fits the game well.

But overall, great game. Well done.

(Though I don't buy that the duck is a chicken and it seems neither did Zaetu. Disappointing)

The wall of text is shown until you click LMB. You only need to press RMB once. And the music getting slower and the game "crashing" means you lost all of your lives (probably because you spammed RMB)

Seconded. Same happens for me

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I always thought obstacles were difficult because I’d have to implement pathfinding or something, but I could have probably found a workaround.

I am aware of the intro animation being annoying and yeah, I might have put my name a few too many times in the game or maybe it’s just because I throw the player in the menu ever level. But thanks a lot!

Sorry, I just loved the main menu intro animation too much to not force the player to waste their time watching it. But I do really appreciate the feedback. It helps a lot. I'll add more feedback next time.

Not very intuitive to learn. A health bar and a score meter would have made things much clearer. The description on the jam page sort of helps, but it is always better to put it into the actual game instead. I do like the idea of filling in the gaps instead of the opposite. However, it doesn't really feel like a rhythm game, not even an environmental one. The theme was interpreted in a very liberal way (I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing).
I do like the atmosphere of the game. Well done

Was a lot of fun to play. Bullet hell and rhythm go well together. The environment felt really responsive to the music. The presentation was striking and fitting to the music. Assigning different patterns to enemies with unique attacks makes a lot of sense and works super well. The patterns are introduced well and the entire game just feels great. Good work.

Finally had the time to play it today. I sadly failed to see both the rhythm element as well as the theme. I'm not sure how they were implemented but it wasn't obvious to me. I did like the design though. The gameplay was simple yet fun although I sometimes couldn't shoot and I felt like my movement speed was too high to aim properly.
For your first game jam though, I'd say it was pretty decent. It works. Also "New Text" in the menu... <3

I think the idea of recruiting a band player by player is a great idea and it works well as "Every new player adds to the length". Although, I would have preferred it if new players added difficulty instead. Like: You start with only two buttons for the guitar and every new player adds one or two more. But this works as well.
I loved the art, the characters and the location looked really cool. The notes might need a bit more polish (I see they are stretched instead of sliced). Also, the fonts can be a bit hard to read sometimes.
The music is pretty good and I love that the new players add one new layer to the song each.
Creative idea to combine a rhythm game with a visual novel. I think it works well.
Overall an awesome entry. Thou did a great job!

Pretty fun and interesting interpretation of the theme. Visuals are simple, yet good.

I got the top score on (most) levels. What can I say except I enjoyed the game (but screw the third level). I always love to see adaptive soundtrack!

That was SUCH a unique concept! Loved the idea and most of the execution. Would have loved to see a few more pixels on the arrows. They are pretty low-rez. Also nice touch with the online leaderboard. Really makes me want to git gud.

Can't play this game, sadly. If you're using Unity, don't just upload the .exe file. Zip it and upload the full folder.

Really cute game. Loved the interpretation of growing by also tying it to the controls. Camera in the falling boulder room was a quite jittery. Otherwise, great game <3

Some very creative ideas in this game. I especially like the transition from dirt to sky to space. Unique enemies and gameplay concept. Only the rain I found a little bit jarring. Otherwise, Good Job <3
