How about do thing, get money, spend thing to get decoration(s), decorations give skill points, spend skill points to do thing better, and repeat? Also, if you add achievements, you could get players to play for 30 minutes at a time.

Since there was only 1 submission, the winner of the contest is:

  • Twardy 2.0 Art by Goat Shaped Chair

You can find out what will be added in the Twardy 2.0 Devlog later this (or next) month!

The game is good, but there is one problem: the game is a little to slow.

Good concept, but there's one problem: you can very quickly gain more crumbs than you can spend. Otherwise, this is a good first project.

Are you still looking for a project? (I can give you a special playtest version of my game). Here's the link to the itch page with the latest stable version: https://99-studios.itch.io/twardy2. It is a survival game with an (upcoming) soul-like aspect. (Please note that I am currently working on a major update for the game, which will overhaul most of the game's code).

I actually have a section in the game's community for bug-reporting, but no one has posted there. Here's a link to it: https://itch.io/board/5404574/bug-reporting

Hello,

I am currently making a pixel-art soul-like game called Twardy 2.0, and I will need a lot of playtesters for my upcoming major update that will overhaul the entire game.

As a playtester, you will get access to special playtest builds of the game, and your name in the credits (if you want). To playtest, you will just need to be able to use GDevelop Forum, for that is where I publish the playtester builds. To get access to the builds, you will have to give me your GDevelop Forum username (or email), and I can add you to the group. You won't get paid, because you are volunteering ;). Also, you can be a playtester for as long (or as short) as you want. I do not have discord, so you will have to message my email

worldstudiosanimations@gmail.com

There are unlimited spots (because the more the better), and I will probably be working on this game for the rest of my life, you don't need to worry if I stopped working on the game (if you are reading this in the future!).

Here are some screenshots of the game (from various versions):

Thank you for reading.

Also, do you have a .zip file I could download?

Cool!  (I like the Mimic Rcok and Bell Wizards (which could be used in an upcoming area... (HMM Chapter 4)

The top three winners are:

  • Apple mimic spider by InSpecterSpook
  • pumpkin by tulipifera
  • Forest background asset pack by Ordinary Bird Art

This could be useful...

You were supposed to submit pixel art, not just a game.

Promising...

You might be excited for Chapter 1 Part 7...

Twardy 2.0 is a sandbox-survival game made in GDevelop. You are Mark, a survivor of a great incident. Your goal is to save the Mainmap, or just plant seeds. Your choice. Itch Page

Yes, it is pronounced "ass-pire". The word is a play on Aspire.

IDK. I thought spelling it as "Aspire" wouldn't clearly show how you're supposed to pronounce it.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS AN EXAMPLE POST AND THE BUG MAY HAVE ALREADY BEEN FIXED.

Summary:

I was casually playing Twardy 2.0 when I placed a plank when I had only 1 wood left. I expected the inventory slot to go back to its "Empty" animation, but it stayed at the "Oak Wood" animation and the item count disappeared.

As long as it is SFW, has microgames, and hasn't been published on many jams, I do not care what type of game you submit (but I do like story)

Just me :)

There is no discord.

Yes, I will be able to play the  game.

Cool game, but it doesn't really fit with the theme.

It won't let me play it. You need to give me access to the game.

I miscalculated. If Itch says it's 2 weeks, then it is 2 weeks long. (Unless you want it to be 3 weeks, because I can change that)

The theme I chose was "tiptoe".

Because I found this jam, I created one of my current best games, called "Tip by toe". https://99-studios.itch.io/Tip-By-The-Toe

My new game, Tip by the Toe, is where you try to escape from an entity, but your only control is going right!

Press the W or D keys to move right.

This game might receive updates in the future, so if you have a suggestion, you can gladly put it in the comments of the game. Also, please rate the game so I can know when the game needs to be improved.

The "Ranking Improvements" update for Twardy 2.0 has released, and I have been collecting bugs from the bug reporting category of the Twardy 2.0 community so I could fix them in a bug-fix update. I need your help to report bugs so I can fix as many as I can in the hotfix update for it (0.1.1)

Specifications:

  • Version bug found: 0.1.0
  • Version bug fixed: 0.1.1_prerelease

Summary:

I was playing Twardy 2.0 when I saw that the rain wouldn't stick on the screen,  and its animation was too fast.

Specifications:

  • Version bug found: 0.0.5
  • Version bug fixed: N/A

Summary:

I was playtesting the new "Under Maintenance" update for Twardy 2.0 when I realized that the bottom border was offset.

Specifications:

  • Version bug found: 0.0.5
  • Version bug fixed: N/A

Summary:

I was playtesting the new "Under Maintenance" update for Twardy 2.0 when I saw that the ferns were taking quite a long time to  despawn. I waited an entire in-game day and the still didn't despawn. Even the dead ferns didn't.

After the "Under Maintenance" update for Twardy 2.0 released, I have been collecting bugs from the bug reporting category of the Twardy 2.0 community so I could fix them in a bug-fix update. I need your help to report bugs so I can fix as many as I can before the next major update (0.1.0).
