I read the other comments and your replies, and I think you got the arcade feel right. A lot of people will be nostalgic when playing this, but for a newer player, I would recommend adding a different mode. I don't know if it would be easy and hard, or modern and arcade, but having the two options would really widen your player base, and I think it's worth it. 

I didn't see anyone else mention it, so it might be a problem with my speakers, but the music seemed a bit loud.

Great UI, really polished feel, and the visuals in game are really charming. Having to wait to try again is a bit annoying, the coins thing does give it a fun arcadey feel but it would be nice if we were exchanging something other than time :) Overall though this is really impressive, especially with all the different controller support. Would love to see the rest of the planned bosses after the jam!

Cool oldschool vibes of the game and very aethentical visuals. Really dissapointed with the wainting mechanic at the end of the stage(it was really awkward to wait 3 minutes for another stage, that i already beat). 

Good game! I really liked the presentation & variety of play options(Keyboard, Controller, Mobile). The visuals are good, and the music was great. Overall good entry to the jam!

I liked the game, especially the art and UI design. I would love to see more than 1 boss in the game though! (what you did have was great so it doesn't matter too much lol)
