Hello! If you want to share with others you WIP process (Work In Progress), this thread is for you ;)

I tried to create bat. It doesn't look like a bat ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

hey dust good evening ! , maybe just make it simple , remove the part below and it will look more like a tiny bat !

HostSubmitted(+1)

What you see is actually a lobster. It is not a bat. I just wanted to draw an attack animation where bat fastly falls down to attack like eagle but accidentally drew something that looks almost like a lobster. So I ended with lobster. I have an idle animation for bat but it is all what I have for now

oh sorry dust , i was stuck with the text you did earlier :) well is going to be well for a lobster maybe if you want a personal suggestion i will  make the claws a little bigger for emphasize the fact is a lobster but i think like this it will be fine the same !

I can't wait to see the animations o/

I'm working on a mystery themed icon set, and I've started with these Clue inspired ones. I'm thinking about redoing the wrench, since I thin it'll look better rotated diagonally like the knife and rope.

Looks good. About diagonal icons. I also have a pack where only diagonal icons. Now there only 7 items but I plan to extend it in future

hello darkmoon ! they looks very good , i like how you split them  ! i think the wrench is good  since the gun is also not in diagonal i don t think it matters much if you put it like that !

the only thing i have hard to recognize is the third  icon but in the end looks so good !

I also couldn't distinguish what is it just by looking at it but after reading a prior message of darkmoon, I understood it is actually a rope. Because no one else icon looks like a rope and there only two diagonal icons and one of them is knife..

Decided to create art for a sci-fi platformer. I really like how I did the computer, and I tried to make a glass cylinder for plants, but do you think it'll be weird that they're not the exact same perspective?

Submitted(+2)

For clarification, the computer is drawn as if you're looking from the side slightly - the cylinder is straight on. I feel like as I'm typing this, I'm answering my own question which is "Yes", it'll be weird haha.

what we typically view as "perspective" is a result of how we perceive objects that are positioned in certain relation to each other. if you think about it, most tilesets usually have all objects facing the same way (towards the "camera"), however, if you were to turn one of the objects slightly around one axis, the perceived perspective would be different. right?

I was kind of lost at first when the 1-bit theme was announced because it's more of an art-style than a theme (for me). So I thought 1-bit is something very minimal. I played around to see with how small of a resolution I could make sth interesting. 4x4pixels is too small. Then I did some 5x5pixel experiments and reticles (that aim thingy for shooting games) started appearing, so I went with it. If any1 needs reticles for a chunky pixelart shooter, this is for them! And I also went back and tried to make some 4x4 pixel reticles too.

 4x4px reticles:

5x5 pixel reticules for 25 different guns:

The next theme will be interesting and really bounding

I'm not really familiar with 1-bit, but I love pixel art + wanted to try my hand at this! (Open to critique/advice!)

Tysm, and ty for hosting a pixel jam! <3

Good. Consistent chibi and hallowen style

Thank you, Dust!

Had a bit of creative block and couldn't decide what to do, so for now I've been working on this coffee cup...

I love it! It's cozy.

A bit late, since I've just submitted, but here's some progress shots I kept as I developed out my top-down tileset.

And then the final tileset, here:
