I managed to break this quite a few times at the beginning because I didn't realize anything had happened in the "tanning bed" so I kept closing the lid and then the body was stuck in there. The 2nd day, I picked up an arm, saw a scary shadow, and then couldn't proceed no matter what I tried to do because I couldn't use the arm the same way I had used the leg on day 1. The head bob also made me motion sick so I'd suggest at least giving an option to turn it off if you're making a FPS.

Interesting scenario. The one guy caught me off guard good. Could use a bit more guidance as the first few attempts I couldn't figure out what to do and when I did figure it out the game bugged and I couldn't progress. Overall an intriguing experience that keeps you wondering and taking cautious steps.

You know these commercially sourced bodies just don't have the yield that they used to. Only one limb per cadaver :P

There is some cool stuff here! The body melter in-game UI was satisfying to use.

It felt like something in the Mortuary Assistant vein. The only thing I would note is that Mortuary Assistant builds on mostly normal, if not a little gross, gameplay that slowly gets more paranormal. Understandably hard to do for a game jam, but might be something to consider going forward! I also had the bug where the day sometimes wouldn't end.

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing!

Glad you enjoyed it.

There is a bug with the colliders, so sometimes it won’t detect it. It was super rushed so yeah.

However, I will update and fix it once the jam ends :)

Aww, I didn't even get to bone it... I mean, put the bone in it... I mean...

Nice concept and atmosphere, but it's a bit repetitive and has some bugs, like closing the casket thing after burning the corpse and not being able to open it again.

Developer

Yeah, I noticed the bug as well. It was rushed, but I will fix it after the jam ends. Thanks for giving it a play.

Also will actually add more content and a better ending.

An okay little game, my biggest issue is the game is a bit buggy on it interactions, there are many moments where I have the body part and I am mashing the interact to place it right around the location where the body part should go and nothing happens until like a minute. Which ruined the experience a bit for me. I will give massive props that you didn't resort to an in your face jumpscare. Overall an okay game that could use some bug fixes.

Developer

Thanks for playing, Olinkalex!

I’m sorry that you were frustrated with the interaction. It was a bug I will iron out once the jam ends. I already have the build for it. :)

Definitely got the atmosphere right, I enjoyed the concept and the spooky moments. Had a few issues where the game wouldn't register me trying to end the day and got stuck for a bit, for some reason. That said, this is good old classic horror stuff!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, there is that bug people have had with interactions not registering. Will fix it once the jam ends. Was very rushed, so hopefully it’s understandable. Thanks for playing.

It's cool, these kinds of bugs are just expected in a game jam like this so I try not to let them impact how I view the game. It didn't stop me finishing it (just delayed my progress for a bit) so it's all good.
