You find yourself at an unsavory tomb-like cabin in the middle of the woods during a Summer night’s outing. Looking at the ground you spot something: unsure of where it came from or what it could be for, you found a letter addressed to a “Eustace B. Marrowmire”.

“In one room you see hanging rib cages that look like they’re on the verge of falling to pieces and femurs tossed to the side like old drumsticks, as if they were instruments in use by a youth and discarded like a child’s toy…"

"You hear cackling & rattling in another room. Sounds like some marrow on marrow acoustic action is about to go down.” 

The letter disintegrates into a puff of smoke and dust. As you look around you find yourself in that very same room. Do you continue forward or look for an escape, or perhaps this is your chance to escape what once was?

A charred and tattered piece of the paper you were reading falls to your feet.

"What's beyond that path you never ventured, behind that gate you never opened?"

“That is for you to decide, my dear Bone-Jammers! Is it something sinister, cute and horrific...or maybe a bit of both terrific and terrifying?"

Short and sweet, horrifying and grandiose? It doesn’t matter, just make something from start to finish!

“This will be one to remember, if you haven’t forgotten about it already!”

The DreadXP Bone Jam will begin September 13th at 9 AM and will remain open to submissions until September 29th at 12 PM.

 “Don’t worry about making your game fit the themes of Bone Jam like a T-Bone. Just worry about having fun and making games!”

1. Make a game from start to finish in the allotted time.
2. Do it with assets you have the proper rights to use.

3. You may begin planning and gathering assets before the jam start date, but please refrain from beginning to work on it until Sep. 13th at 9 AM.

4. While this is a horror themed game jam, we ask you to please do not include inappropriate or overly explicit imagery in your submission.

5. Have fun!
