That cut-scene was something else 😂

My intuition was also to try and roll the gummies over with the boulder so it's interesting seeing how player feedback helps one realise what players are going to try.

The destruction was nice and smooth.

One easy improvement you could add would be to increase the bullet speed by at least 3 times (I've not work with really fast projectiles so I might be wrong on how easy this would be). Atm it feels like the gun is firing marshmallows -- then again that might be appropriate for fighting gummies :D

Developer

Yeah, making the projectiles faster might bring some hit detection issues in, that I definitely can invest time into fixing but that would not be as simple as just increasing the speed variable. Hope you enjoyed it. :)

Amazing story, it really makes you feel like a man on too may gummies.
I enjoyed the destruction a lot, it ran super smoothly to my surprise, not sure how you pulled that off but props for achieving it! From a gameplay point of view, it felt quite easy dodging the gummies, maybe if they became faster over time it would become overwhelming?
I also tried shooting the boulder to direct it but it didnt seem to work, I figured that could be a good way to clear lots of gummies. Maybe consider adding an impulse to the boulder from bullets? Then shooting the side of it could angle the boulder and you could steer it in a way.
Overall, a wonderful little trip. Great work.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.

Haha! There's so much potential here. I wanted the boulders to be better at killing the gummies, I guess setup so that they roll towards the gummies rather than across their path. The level being a bit tighter might have allowed for this.

I'd also like a bit more hit-stun on the gummies. It felt like they could jiggle more in reaction to being shot (though the fact that they did jiggle was pretty satisfying)

Developer

Thank you, I certainly wanted more grand destruction and better overall interactions with the gummy bears. But as a 9 day jam entry I'm not to sad about how it turned out.

Have to give praise for the cool cut scene as well :)
that was a therapeutic session destroying hordes of gummies.  The building destruction was really satisfying, I just wish there was more stuff to destroy!

Developer

Thank you, I did intend on having a lot more to destroy. But once again, it was time that stopped me from adding more. I did not however expect so many people to be mentioning the low quality cutscene in such a positive light.

Love the meme value of this game! Also great cut scene :) Would love to be able to shoot holes into the destructible buildings.

Developer(+1)

yeah I wanted to have more detailed destruction but with running out of both time and brain power I didn't manage.

Glorious cut scene!

Developer

Thank you.

Love the cut scene :) and the destructible objects feel really good, like they break at the right time with the right amount of damage. For me the game play lacks a bit with not much of a objective, what I think would be awesome is trying to defend a fort from waves as the fort slowly gets destroyed, and you need to survive as many waves as possible. Good luck with the jam.

Good suggestion, I also would have enjoyed protecting a destructible structure of some kind.

Developer(+1)

Yeah. I planned on adding something like that but I was running out of time for the jam and had personal issues toward the end. Maybe I can come up with something in a post jam version though.
