Thanks for all the awesome feedback! Yah, I would like to adjust the physics to make the ball a bit punchy-er! Less floaty = harder without a lot of tuning, and in the time for the jam I didn't want to risk not getting it uploaded in time :)

Also, I'm curious is anyone noticed that when you are in "running" mode, the time on the board / ball slows to about 40% normal speed. It makes it way more manageable, but does add to floaty-ness a bit. I went back and forth a lot on whether to slow the music speed or do some other indication of this, but since you pop in and out so frequently I thought it would get grating.

Anyway, thanks all of the awesome response and feedback, it feels awesome to get some love :)

I think speeding up the ball would indeed make it much harder... The thing that bothered me was not that it felt "floaty" but rather that the ball slows down a lot on obstacles, when I would much rather it slide through tubes like a pinball.  When it stops halfway through a tube it can feel awkward trying to catch it.

Slowing down the ball when the paddle is running is genius, and for some reason I didn't really notice it. I just knew that it was hard to catch the ball sometimes but not too unfair.

Also if I may ask, is the ball's collider not a perfect circle??

Yes, the ball's collider is a circle, but the cured obstacles aren't perfect as I had to draw those myself. I agree about the tubes and such. If I spend more time with this after the jam, I would like to make it feel a bit more "pinball-y" and try to get some smoother physics on stuff like tracks.
