this version lacks the teleport & reload arm... when that is added, there is no real penalty to spamming it for a full reload

the bullets seem too effective to be fired at such a high rate

what you have shows promise

well done

I finished level one, and I love the play and feel of shooting, the art, and the screen shake, all well implemented. Hope to see more! Really nice work, thank you for sharing!

And if you get a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would love any feedback, thanks!

The game looks fun to play :D

but unfortunately, the enemies stopped spawning in level 2 <.>

a bit short, but was fun.

Developer

Hey.  Thanks for trying. This was a rushed attempt and many elements were left unfinished.   You can check the updated  version with more levels and content, here:

You teleport and reload at the same time which is kinda cool, but I wished contacting enemies deals damage to you rather than them simply disappearing.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback.  That is indeed the intended behavior , which got left out of the final upload. It was a really rushed game TBH, but I did fix up a lot of things in an update, which you can try if you are interested to see the progress.  Here is the link to the update:

Thanks for playing. If you are on a computer, you can press spacebar to reload the gun.

Many thanks for encouragement. If you liked it, you can check out an updated version of the game here (with more levels, touch controls, balanced gameplay): https://gd.games/itchforever

And of course I am gonna review/rate your game as well.

How does this fit into the theme of ON/OFF? Was very jarring without any tutorial or explanation of how to play. Fine game concept, just needs more polish!

Developer

Hey thanks for playing. I started making this a day or so before the deadline, I couldn't get all the things done.

The On/Off theme element is in the mechanic of Reload (spacebar), the ship has to disappear and reappear at a new location.

You are right, its probably awful for a new player. You can check out a more polished version of this here: https://gd.games/itchforever

I really liked the animation when pressing space, I would have liked more levels and perhaps that the bullets would come out clicking and not leaving the click pressed, it is a good and entertaining idea.

Developer

Hey, thanks for the review. I made a much improved version, it is here if you want to try: https://gd.games/itchforever

Nice attempt! I may have accidentally broken the game by enthusiastically pressing the spacebar multiple times 😄

Thank you for your kind words, the game is indeed broken and unfinished. Let me check out your entry.
