A very fun game concept. Like crypt of the necrodancer + snake. Even though I couldn’t make it to the end, it was a very interesting challenge.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for giving our game a shot! We understand that it requires some time, so it's totally understandable if you can't spend too much time on it, especially considering that there are other game jam projects waiting for ratings. We really appreciate your feedback!

Fun game, even though I wasn't very good at it :)

One issue I found is that I couldn't turn around 180 when walking into a wall.

Oh, and no way to exit the game

Developer

Thank you for playing! Actually 180 turn around wasn't planned by design but it is possible by bug/feature :). You have to turn right and back or left and back in a single beat.

No way to exit - if you mean quit to main menu then yeah, we should add it. We postpone that task because there were some more important errors to fix.  Maybe we will make some quality of life updates but after the gamejam results.

Thought this was really fun, felt a tad slow but it probably wouldn't work as well if it was much faster, thought the level design was great. Seemed to be balanced pretty well and a good level of challenge, did seem maybe a bit difficult to easily predict whether you could make it past a camera with lots of prisoners but I did always manage to make it past. I initially thought the holes in the ground would kill me if I went in them, took a while to realise it was for freeing prisoners lol. Liked the music and also the art a lot too

Developer

Thanks for the game! You're right, improving the speed of the beat is a matter of balance. We did test faster beat speeds after the jam and it easily gets pretty chaotic. Holes - of course! These things sometimes slip away when you know what they're for from the start :-)

So much pun potential, I shall resist...

Anyways it was fun sneaking past cops on their beat. The getting spotted animation was super effective, I love games that mess with the camera to create an effects.

Developer

Oh man, you destroyed my mind. Your resistance is futile.

Thanks for playing and we appreciate your comment!

I like the concept of this ALOT. mixing sneak and rhythm is a very interesting and original idea! I enjoyed the music, and could listen to it in the background for hours but I did have a little bit of a hard time mentally connecting the sound to the movement. I think this is a very impressive entry and I will be playing again!

Developer(+2)

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I think after the gamejam we will add beat calibration to options.

Looks nice and polished. Too bad I don't feel the beat... Maybe thats just me as I haven't played many games like that :(

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm not sure if I understand the problem. Do you feel the beat is desynchronized with animation?

Submitted(+1)

I don't know. As I said I don't have much experience with such games. I might be just bad at it :D

Submitted(+2)

I like the idea of this  game overall, but it kind of makes me angry because of not knowing where I need to go :(

Developer(+1)

Thank you for feedback. Sad to hear that it have made you angry. Do you think there should be some minimap or direction where is the exit?

Submitted(+1)

Acually yes! Minimap would be perfect for such game for better understanding of this whole level

Submitted(+1)

I really enjoyed the gameplay idea! It would be fun to try with varying musics and rythms

Submitted(+1)

I like it a lot! Wish the BGM was a bit more polished :)

Submitted(+2)

Wow, such a unique game! The design is very polished, and the core beat-based movement feels really nice. There were a few points in the map where it felt like my only option was to get caught, but after a few more plays, maybe I will learn better routes to take.

Developer(+1)

So happy to hear such positive feedback! To be honest, we like those tricky levels where you have to try a couple of times to find the best way out, so it was a bit intentional. We hope you enjoy it anyway and don't get too frustrated. ;-)

Submitted(+2)

Definitely not too frustrated! After a few more runs (and achieving the current high score), I can easily say that this is my favorite game of the jam so far! Incredible work! I will certainly continue to play this for fun.

Submitted(+2)

Nice game! I liked that it's music themed.

The map felt quite big though😿

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We really enjoy rhytm games so we wanted to give it a try on a game jam as well. And the level is not the shortest for sure, but you can play it as long as you wish and gain score even when busted.

Very fun game. Challenging but not in an unfair way. Very cute graphics and sound design and just overall a fun time.

Developer(+2)

"but not in an unfair way" - for the first time I've read "not in a fair way" and honestly it was hard to balance the scoring system in such short time. Thank you for comment! All graphics made by Sundew. I love it too.

Good game mechanics !

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and we appreciate your feedback! :-)

Submitted(+2)

Its very good, has very nice graphics, the game feels chalanging but not frustrating. Only complaint is that the cops can still bust you through walls.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah those cops are sometimes cheaters :P
