How does your game fit the theme?
After the death of the protagonist, he is reborn into his favorite video game. He now has a new beginning and another chance at life after his untimely end.

Wow! At the start I thought it was going to be a point and click and then it became a unique platformer thing. Nice! I especially liked the narrative playing out in the background as you progress. I made it to what I believe to be the final boss, but I couldn't quite work out how to beat it. I tried launching my egg-self at it, dropping on top of it, and then just trying to survive for a while, but to no avail. So, I think it would have been nice to have a little hint here, even if there probably was one I expect. It might also be nice to add a click and hold control to adjust the power of your egg launch, a bit like in a golf game. Excellent entry overall though!

Thanks for playing! You're definitely not the first one to struggle with the boss, I decided to add it in pretty late so I didn't quite get to put in everything I would've liked to so it wound up being pretty confusing. The power control would be a pretty cool addition, I think that could add a lot more control to the movement so thanks for the suggestion!

I love the way you used the theme. The dead chickens lying around were a super nice touch and the art was all around pretty cool. My only complaint would be that the boss fight felt a little unpredictable and sometimes I found myself dying in annoying ways, mainly sometimes colliding with the boss hitbox when trying to dodge. Other than that the game was pretty fun.

Thanks for playing! I completely agree that the boss needs a bit of work. I had made it so the boss has three separate hitboxes, one for the treads/bottom, one for the body, and one for the head and I think three is just a bit too many as they overlap in a weird way so next time I'll try and keep it a bit more simple. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks again!

The artstyle is really unique. not bad

Very interesting game and had a lot of fun. Could've used some trajectory lines or something, but it's not that hard figuring out where the bird will jump. Stopping all momentum when you touch a surface was quite annoying, but it's fine. The graphics are very cool. Definitely one of the best games I've played in this jam. Great work!

This game was REALLY cool. I enjoyed playing it, but I couldn't get passed the giant mech bird :(

Thanks for playing :) What mechanics were a bit tricky to figure out? Was there anything I could make more clear?

You should make a starting menu that will display controls

Developer

that’s a good idea thanks!
