How does your game fit the theme?
You can go between worlds. When one ends, a new one begins! (They were supposed to represent choices, but didn't have time, so they're just random.)

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I only reused 3-4 utility classes, and a single sound file.

How many hours did it take  to code this game?

Developer

Thanks for trying it! :)

About 12 hours of code and 11 hours of playing with some visual stuff. (Yes, I measured it for reasons. :D )

It looks like a solid fundament for a really good story and gameplay. Nice one.

A visual interesting little experience. It could easily become more of a game, but what is here is fine.

I feel so relax playing this game. Too bad I didn't get to play the finish game.

Nice concept. The abstract objects floating in space and the collision notes were cool. Maybe an odd note but I found myself interested in picking one  object and pushing it. Seeing how far I could push it, if I could push it into a second object, whether it would give me more notes after the first or second, whether I could push it through a level transition. Might be something to explore next time around.

A relaxing game idea I like it and I had a relaxing time playing it, unfortunately, there is no music I'm sure if it was there right ambient music the experience of the game will be impressive, overall great job!

Cool idea , fits the theme.

Excellent! Love the blackhole portal idea! This could definitely be developed into some kind of exploration game. It looks like the objects spawn randomly from the distance, is that right? How did you do that? Although the streaks on the white ball give some sense of movement, it feels a bit static when you change direction. It might be good to use cine-machine to ease the scene movement a bit.

Developer

Nice ideas, thanks! I love exploration games - will definitely consider that!

As for the objects - they actually spawn in a grid with random offsets and some chance that some cells of the grid won't have an object in them. It's nothing special as an approach, but I think it worked reasonably well (and was very easy to code! :D ).

yep, definitely worked well! The best methods are always the simplest ;-)

It's a cool "experience" You shown that you have skills in procedural generation. I just think it could me cool to have a oal and a challeng. Like the "asteroids" could kill you and your goal is to join a galaxy. Idk something like that

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! :)

I usually make games on game jams (duh! :D ), so this one I just wanted to experiment with stuff that I usually don't do (visuals, mood, music). My current plans are to expand it a bit more in those aspects when I have time, but am definitely keeping an open mind about turning it into a proper game, so thanks for the idea!

I can say that you won the best thing you can win in a gamejam which is knowledge. ^^

Cool atmosphere that you have going on here. I know it's an art experience but would love to see some sort of goal even if it's just a simple scoring system. Also, I felt like the theme could have been embedded a little more. Overall, I think you have an interesting thing going on here but I wish I could see more out of it.

Developer

Thanks :)

I get what you're saying. I generally wanted it to be an experimental artsy thing like it is, but I did want to at least include more interactions, more choices... music... :D but hopefully I'll have more time to play with it in the near future, and if a cool gameplay idea comes to mind, I'll definitely give it a shot! :)

I love the particle effects on the player

Developer(+1)

Thanks :)

I actually wanted to add more  particles and small shapes following the player (inspired by Alpha Muse), buuut only had the weekend to work on it, so I did what I could. :)

And now that I'm thinking about it, I guess it might be cool if one can gather different "particles" / "followers" from the different worlds and move them around through worlds... so "an end is a new beginning", but you keep your previous "experience"... or something like that :D

Yes! That sounds like a great idea
