So now that the jam is over, I want to give this game a full play since the jam version had some weird bug where the graphics were flickering and shaking about so badly I couldn’t tell what was going on. Probably some weird issue with Bakin since it’s still pretty new as an engine. Does the gamejolt version fix that?

The Ultra-Teen TeamI think there is potential to the game, but I can definitely tell the engine (Bakin) is still in Early Access. The first scene had such bad flicker that it almost gave me a headache.
When I was in the forest the treetops constantly blocked my view of the area. I was constantly rotating the camera to find an angle that worked.
Battles I often had trees cutting in and out of the battlefield, blocking my view of the enemy.All of these though I feel is more due to Bakin being in Early Access though, and will probably be fixed eventually.
However, ultimately I couldn't figure out how to get out of the first area sadly so had to end there. Maybe I missed something covered by trees, but all I found was a glowing square that said something then I got kicked back. No idea how to advance so stopped there.
This is my first experience with a Bakin game, so the presentation was nice if a bit unstable. However, I didn't really enjoy the game's balance. You can be poisoned by the enemies in the very first area, and poison seems to drain your health each frame out of combat. Only being able to heal based on enemy drops means with bad luck you can be stuck with no way to survive the next random encounter.

I advice to not fight the skelleton. This one is causing a bug and preventing you to enter that lava cave.
