I got stuck early on and found it a bit confusing, but overall I loved the idea!

Thank you for playing!

Extremely cool. The whole aesthetic is just amazing, I don't know how you created it, especially in such a short period of time. I do think the puzzle solving was a little straightforward, but I get you can't develop stuff too extensively in such a short time period.

Thank you so much for the feedback! :)

Great game! I love the Game Boy aesthetic but I feel like it made certain things in the game clunkier than they needed to be, like moving the pointer.

Thank you for the feedback! I definitely want to see if I can implement mouse controls for the web version. Thanks for playing :)

The graphics very cool, but some times it was hard to know where I was because of the size of the pixels and there should have been sound effects and kinda annoying when you get stuck, I got stuck after calling the phone looking for some calendar that I didn't find. Also did you draw all the looking images or is the game actually 3d and there's just some trillion effects being applied to it?

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! The artwork is 3D renders which are scaled down, dithered, color indexed, and then redrawn in sections where I thought it was needed for clarity. Thanks for playing :)

This game is insanely cool, the retro aesthetic is really impressive and the sheer amount of content in one room is also insanely cool. There is just so much content and almost every little detail in the room can be inspectable.  I'm still wondering how you accomplished moving around the scene from a programming standpoint. I'm still debating against whether you made some shaders that rendered a 3d scene to look like its from the gameboy era or whether you hand drew tons of scenes which seems even more impressive. The accurate minimap was also really cool it allowed people to actually move around the game without getting lost in the retro esque controls. The music was really mysterious and also felt very retro which i can never complain about. Overall I can't come up with many complaints for this game other than inspecting items should maybe be left to the mouse. You could keep the arrow key controller as is so that people without a mouse can play but it makes the game extremely slow paced to play although i know doing this might ruin some of the retro feel of the game. Also maybe make the player on the map a little bit more marked, i got a little bit confused on where i was because the icon was a little small.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed. As for the artwork, they are 3D renders which are scaled down, dithered, color indexed, and then redrawn in parts where I thought it was necessary.  I will definitely look into adding mouse controls, I think it would be a better play experience for the browser version. Thanks again! :)

I really enjoyed the retro Gameboy art direction and chiptune beats that really made it feel like it was from the era. It was really nice to see the retro art style look this good and still be made in this short amount of time!
