Hi, really appreciate that you enjoyed the gagme. I'm fine with you looking through the repository but just keep in mind that some of the code in that repository might not be the greatest to learn from considering I wrote a lot of it in a rush lol. Also the fact that this is my first time using raylib to make a game so I could be doing some unconventional things in the code...

Thanks, I will admit that at times the clones get misaligned which is a consequence of my not being able to create a robust collision system in the time constraints of the jam. Glad you enjoyed the game though!

The switch to merging to complete a level was moreso my attempt at creating a more slow paced introduction/tutorial to the game, glad you enjoyed the puzzles though!

Very creative and surprisingly satisfying to play. I can see potential for this to be a very addicting type of game although I couldn't completely get used to the control scheme(maybe if we used for example A+D to rotate and Arrow Keys to move the block it would be more intuitive than having all the controls on the left of the keyboard). I feel like the panning on the music is a bit too much but what do I know about music lol, besides the panning I really enjoyed the music and sound effects. Very solid entry imo.

Hey, this is a pretty interesting interpretation of the theme imo. Honestly it's got a lot of potential if you just had more time lol.

I might be stupid because I didn't know that you could push the normal blocks and died like 3 times trying to get past the first wave lol. I do think(like others have said) the fire block is a little bit of a double edged sword but I think with the implementation of some other "hex" spells and more balancing this could be a really great game. Really enjoyed the art style too.

I guess this guy likes evangelion lol. Anyways I thought this was a really unique take on the theme. I think there maybe could have been a bit more instruction but I was able to figure it out on my own after a bit. Very solid  game.

Hi! The art in this game is very cute. I do love the amount of effort being put into the MC's hair lol. I think the themes should probably be emphasized a bit more and a banger music track could also make the gameplay a bit more lively/interesting. Good job!

Pretty fun game. I guess adding bombs to already addicting game is a pretty fun combo. So I don't know if this is intentional but is it possible to lose in casual mode lol. I guess there kind of is always a move between bombs and also having more permutations with a hex grid. Puzzle mode is a bit more balanced with a smaller grid. I think this submission is very creative!

This game is honestly very technically impressive, I wouldn't even know how to start implementing this mechanic lol. I think with a bit more time to design levels/polish and balance mechanics this could turn into a very interesting game.

The concept is simple but well executed. Everything works and the game is pretty solid gameplay wise albeit a bit simple.

Thanks!

yeah that's true, I probably should have included more open rooms or adjusted the AI a little better. Thanks for playing the game!

hmmm, I really need to edit the html for the web build lol. Multiple bishops is definitely tough, you actually need  insane reaction time to dodge them. Thanks for playing the game!

This is a very interesting concept, although I feel it could be a bit more polished. For example, the billinear filtering on the evidence sprites should probably be turned off. Additionally, some more guidance on what the player should do to win would probably be helpful. I retired at 218 guesses, I don't know how good that is lol.

yeah it might be a little too hard lol

wow, thank you

Thank you! Glad to see that the art wasn't too bad lol.

thanks a lot! Honestly kind of glad I spent a lot of time trying to balance the game instead of cramming for features and rooms.

Really cool take on the theme, I tried to solve this for the longest time but could not get the right answers. When it says that brute forcing is not possible, does that refer to how there are so many options or that there is something in game which prevents you from doing so? I would also appreciate if there were some indication that I was doing things correct or wrong in the game. Either way, solid game you've made here!

thanks!

Yeah, unfortunately I couldn't find a way to get the web build to fullscreen with the Bevy Engine, I'll definitely look into it in the future though. Thanks for playing the game!

Thank you!

Thanks!

Neat shooter game, I really enjoyed the music and the enemy character designs. I do think the gun could be easier to use because I eventually ran out of bullets after killing about half of the enemies lol.

Nice and simple concept. The game definitely has a unique vibe and atmosphere to it and I also enjoyed the dialogue within the game. There were some times where the game would freeze in the web version and I would have to wait a bit before continuing but that was about it. Nice Job!

Hey man, really like the uniqueness of this game. The isometric view and pixel art are also pretty clean!

I read that the theme was not mandatory to follow so I chose not to really incorporate it directly into the art style of the game. I just felt that I couldn't actually make good enough "mystery" themed art with my limited artistic talent lol.

I'm really digging the ambience in this game, but I do think the controls were a bit strange to understand if you didn't click to the menu for the help screen. Additionally, I think there should be some way to more clearly tell the player what to do to progress as I often got stuck throughout the game. Nice work on this game!

I'm really digging this art style man, also the music is really chill. One thing that I ran into was that when I flipped the character sprite it kind of offsets a bit too much and caused me to have to readjust which was a little bit frustrating. Nice work on this game though, I enjoyed it.

You have a very cute art style! People have mentioned this but some of the sprites look weird because they are not all scaled the same, this is what we call mixels and generally should be avoided unless it is being used for some design choice. Congrats on finishing the game jam!

Was a little confused on why I couldn't move as the detective at first until I realized that was the whole gimmick lol. I think working on polish would be a good next step for this game.

Thanks! I was actually really scared that I made the game either too easy for skilled players or too hard for more casual players. Glad that you thought the balance was good. Congrats on 3100!

its a very fun game and has a very different take on what usually is seen as a reverse tower defense game, this was more like an RTS game but without resource management, the music was fine but it would have been nice to have more feedback on when the player hits the towers so the player can have validation on when they are doing something right.

the art direction for this game is fabulous, maybe consider making a directions screen to explain to the player what to do which was a bit unclear to me at first.

this is a pretty unique take on the theme that although simple is very well executed. The music and sound effects all add to the atmosphere while the graphics are easy and simple to understand. I do believe it is a little too simple at the moment and adding some more mechanics will be an interesting thing to see.

Thanks! Its intended but i get how it could be confusing.

its been mostly positive aside from the relative lack of documentation for some tools.
