I had guessed that you must have added the bullets to the player node as a child that's why they are influenced by the player movement, but in a strange way you push the missles into the enemies, you could have worked a mechanic into that maybe.
I was struggling to understand how to complete the game, if there is a end state?(Mine doesn't), I tried pressed E but nothing seemed to happen.
The Menu seemed to have a lot of work done, well done that is part that most gamejams normally don't include or if they do it's an after thought.
I'm a fellow GWJ noob too, hope to see you in the next one!

Yeah, I used a “spawner” that I made some months ago to make the instancing of the missile, had to work a little extra on it to make it work correctly, but a fun experience.

I like to have an actual basic menu, and making it helps me get better at using the UI nodes.

I had planned for a health bar and a score based increase of spawning rate and monster movement speed, but could not get the UI to work. So in a sense it is an “endless” mode, of sorts.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hahah tell me about it, i had many things planned, and sadly many bugs that are obvious now but I missed before the time. Gotta love Gamejams, but I do like some of the bugs sometimes.

I like the graphics, they remind me of floppy disk games from the 90s. Great work on the animations for the enemies too. As someone else mentioned, I kind of like how the projectiles move with the player

I actually like the “bug” that the missle moves with the Player, interesting idea

Nice work on the animations and cutesy graphics. Could have done with a little more work on the audio sound effects when shooting and hitting enemies. But a great entry, especially for a first attempt!

Nice game, would have loved to see more monsters but overall it was fun.

Keep up the work

Nice story telling :)

I was surprised with the controls in the sense that after firing the magic missile if you the player move, the missiles also move.

Congrats on submitting your first GWJ!

Thanks for your feedback. Yeah I noticed the oddness of the magic missile Saturday, but decided to only look at it if I got time to spare and that did not happen.
