Fun bird simulator with quite unique mechanics.

The concept itself is really interesting and i like how you made most of the control trying to simulate wings flapping to replicate actual bird flight.

The main issue i had was that while the controls are unique and interesting, i had a really hard time to get the hang of it, cause i didn't really get what the 3 different types of flapping did, i was able to flap a bit and glided most of the time cause sometimes when i flapped again the birds mech went nuts and moved unpredictably so i think it's probably cause i didn't used the right flap type in some moments.

While the controls were explained through text, i feel it'd benefit the game a lot to have some sort of tutorial to help understand how the mechanics fully work and what type of flap to use when.

With that said the game feel on the flight itself is pretty cool, and visually i like the frame's design that's around the bird ^^

Interesting to see where you might take this concept, not a lot of mecha bird dogfight sims out there that's for sure :p

Well done :)

I did want to add a tutorial to explain the controls better, as people not getting the hang of it fast enough for a jam game really was a concern. But I would have need more time for that. The controls them self also need some work, the mech going nuts is usually explained by  the releasing there being a small delay between left and right button release. The diagonal backwards (Q/E) flap is more prone to "flipping out"" due to this. I should be able to solve this by creating a small grace time window,  if both keys are released within it, then the wings will flap 100% synced. I might also make some bigger overhaul to how the controls work.

Thanks for your feedback :)

No worries, time is always super short for jams so it's really hard to have all features working as intended in this context, perfectly understandable :)

But oh i see, that explains the random freakouts :o well i'm sure fixed with the synch working as it should this would improve the feel of the controls, regardless i get what the intent was with this and in my book you succeded on that front.
