It's a nice concept and I like the artstyle, but it's lacking in the controls, it feels very floaty and hard to control properly. Could also do with some music and soundeffects.

Cool concept and execution with the switching level layouts to progress. I'm not sure if it was intended to be this way, but the jumping mechanic is similar to ghosts and goblins where it locks you in a direction and velocity when you jump and it makes for pretty tedious platforming in my opinion. If you wanted it to feel that way that's fine, just not my cup of tea. Nice looking visuals but I would have appreciated some sound to go with it. Good job on the submission though :)

Cool concept, not new, but I've rarely seen it done it in combination with platforming. Good visuals, pixel art in 3D always looks interesting, wish there was more variation though. One big issue is platforming itself, as people pointed out, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

That was neat! I really liked the switching between worlds mechanic. The lighting was nice too. The only thing that was a little off-putting was the stiffness of jumping onto pillars, it seemed that the edges were just a bit sharp and the requirement to get a running start made the platforming a bit difficult. All in all though, it was fun!

Very cool. The style and lighting  made this game beautiful whilst being simplistic, and the core mechanic was a very interesting hook. Good work!

You watched us play on stream, as I struggled to jump. Here's the link incase you want to watch again lol:

The color switch shader is BEAUTIFUL!! Super cool concept :)

Hey, nice graphics and concept. I think the game needs some more polishing which I see you are planning to work on the game more after the jam. Good game and I wish you the best luck in your future game dev for this game :)

Developer

Thank you! Yeah I want polish the game a bit more after the jam.

Really loved the graphics and the transition mechanic. Good job!

Developer

Thank you!

Cool concept, cool execution. I liked the (shader?) effect that transitioned between the 2 structures, too. I feel like you should have utilized the concept more because it was very enjoyable to use (you used it a lot at the end but I think some more spread out use of it would be nice). Only issue I had was the camera, I couldn't control sensitivity and the sensitivity was really high, which made the game kind of hard to play, especially it being a 1st person platformer. The camera also seemed to accelerate and decelerate which just makes the camera way harder to control. It would have been nice to have more deliberate movement there. Very nice game though.

Thank you for the feedback! Currently I am adding an options menu where mouse sensitivity and smoothness can be set. This will be added after the jam.

I like how the world changes. Once all the jumping part was over with it was pretty pleasant doing the world-switch puzzle. I think you should build on that! I don't like the way jump works. It's as if, you have to be moving for around 1 or 2 seconds to jump far enough. I could literally stand right by a platform and hold 'W' and press jump and the player just jumps straight up and doesn't move. When it does move forward it's clear I was holding W long enough, but it's unclear how long I should hold 'W', and I think you should just have the player jump the same amount as long as the player is moving and jumping. Probably using the velocity the player had at the start of the jump and adding that to the velocity of the jump while disabling velocity adjustments while in the air. That's understandable for most games but this one, if you want to keep the platformer vibe, just set velocity to a constant speed throughout the jump  in the direction the camera is facing. You could even make 'W' + 'Spacebar' a different handler function than 'Spacebar' alone. Idk, something to think about, sorry I nerded out right there lol, hope it helps. Fun game by the way! Hit me up if you keep working on this.

Thank you for the feedback! I think I have an idea on how to make the jumping feel more responsive. I think I am going to keep working on this even after the jam. I Have some idea's that I think could be cool.

Very cool mechanic! I love the idea of changing worlds to find new paths, very very cool! I found it a little difficult to land jumps on some of those small platforms so it was a little frustrating, but still, a really fun game. I'm really impressed by the way the worlds change. That effect is awesome! Good job dude!

Developer

Thank you! I think I might make the jumping platforms a bit bigger. Anyways thanks for player!

i would appreciate it if you have reduced the sensitivity Overall a great game, loved the art style

Nice job!

Developer

Thank you! I think adding an options menu where sensitivity can be changed is a good idea. Will try to add this in an after jam version.

I have to be honest but I would like to start with the positives. I am a sucker for cool art and wow the art style of this game is so damn beautiful. I love it to death!

Additionally, the concept sounds awesome! I can't wait to see this game become what you want it to be, and I will be the first in line to play it when it does.

However, I have to add a few criticisms as other's have mentioned, there are quite a few bugs as other's have mentioned, which is completely expected for a game jam and as such I really don't hold it against you.

Funnily enough, the main issue for me has to do with the thing I love most about it! It's so damn beautiful that my computer has a stroke trying to play it! The addition of graphics settings would really help so many more try your game and fall in love with it's art like I have.

All in all though I really like the game and the idea! Be proud of what you've made so far, even if it isn't perfect or what you necessarily want it to be yet.

Great job friend! :D

Developer

Thank you! I will add graphics options to the to-do for an after jam version.

I love the idea I thought it was cool, it gave me real Indiana jones vibes I loved it, I also thought the pressure plates were cool. couple bits of criticism however, first of I think that your idea wasn't totally feasible as it was a tad optimistic without a big team in such a short time.  I think if you had kept it a bit similar and maybe added a easy way to win the game it would of felt slightly more complete. also the lack of audio made it feel a bit empty, I also didn't find a strong link to the theme unfortunately.  I also found a couple bugs, for example I could bring object's from different levels over the door if I ran quick enough. overall I think this project didn't get finished for the jam but is still definitely got potential and looks really promising, so I hope you persevere and stick this project out as it looks like a lot of fun.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I do have to agree with the criticism. Sadly the main mechanic of switching between different temples is broken in this build. I will try and fix some of these issues for a after jam patch.

yeah it sounds exiting i will love to see how that comes along :)

This game has a good potential but unfortunetaly because of that changing dimension bug it can become a bit annoying. I would like to see after jam edition. Nice work ^^
