Use of the limitation
The clouds constantly move and are randomly spawned. This creates a unique play-through every game with different platformer scenarios created.

Lovely chiptune music!  Was it original?
As others have said, very impressive that this is hand-coded.

Yep, Cerberus created the music & sound effects with an online program called BeepBox.

MASSIVE RESPECT for doing this in C++ and SDL2. As the developer of my team, I envy your skills. I Love how you incorporated the theme as well. If it's ok with you could I have a look at your source code? I would love to see the algorithm behind how the clouds were generated. My only complaint would be the character left a little small and my small brain didn't notice her (I'm assuming it's a she) until like 5 mins into trying to figure it out. Amazing 9/10 game

The clouds generation isn't anything special, just some random numbers and a sine wave for the bouncing. I'd be happy to give the source code privately. Also, the code is pretty rubbish being only made in 3 days.

(The framework I made about a week earlier. Just general stuff like drawing to the screen and basic collision.)

I like the character feeling and also the music is very cool :) ending for the game would be nice (or maybe there is but I tried to jump really high). GL

There is actually an ending!!!! It takes 19 screens to make it to the ending. Each level is progressively harder as you ascend into space.

Go to the top of the screen to advance to the next level.
